Congratulations! Improved health is always an inspiring story to me. I've had similar results to my health from juicing. Keep up your amazing journey. It sounds like you have completely turned your life around! It can be done, and that inspires me!
Congratulations! I had gastric bypass, lost 149 pounds but i have recently gained back 17 and i am desperate to lose them. This is day two and I am easing into the reboot with juice and salad and an apple for snack. This isnt easy but it IS so worth it!! Along with the 149 pounds I shed a wheelchair!
i also suffer from psoriasis so you have given me hope that my reboot will clear it up!
Congratulations on your success, Teela! You are definitely an inspiration to a Newbie!
I saw somewhere 80/20 veg to fruit. Hope this helps!

I'm Teela. I live in Texas and I am a wife and mother to three young sons.
I am a total newbie but I've had my juicer for just over a week and I've really broken her in! She's AMAZING and I'm in LOVE with her! Heehee
I've probably lost 4 lbs in the last week, and I've only replaced about 3 meals total and just added a BUNCH of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I am going to do a 40 day fast starting on Feb 13th and I am PUMPED! I can't WAIT! Less than one week!
I hope to meet a lot of new and amazing friends along my way. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and I'd love any support anyone would like to offer.

I'm so mad and angry. I need help before I give up.
I did great the first few days of the fast, lost about 9 lbs and then that's it. I've not seen any weight loss since Day 6 or so, in fact, since starting my period, I've GAINED weight.
Someone help!!!! I know I shouldn't be so obsessed with the number on the scale but OMG WHY AM I GAINING WEIGHT!?!?!?!?!? My husband had the audacity to say it was because I'm drinking too much juice!!!!! Great, so I was a fat blimp stuffing my face....and now I'm a fat blimp drinking fresh and expensive juice!?!?!?! Argh. I want to give up, run away and never come back. I need some support, motivation, advice, help, SOMETHING!

I had a nasty inner ear infection that was close to rupturing my eardrum on Day 4. I went to urgent care and stupidly didn't mention my fast. He put me on 500 mg ammoxicillin 2x a day. I'm on Day 8 of the juice fast (day 4 of antibiotics) and my ear is not better, my throat now hurts, and my other ear seems to be bothering me.
I made an appointment with my family care doctor today and plan to tell him about my juice fast but I was curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar? I'm hoping my doctor doesn't recommend I go off the fast. I need help. Ay tips? Advice? Encouraging words? Similar stories? Help a fellow juicer out. Aside from this darn infection, I feel WONDERFUL!

I will be starting a 40 day juicing fast to go along with lent. Is anyone else out there planning the same thing? This will be my first fast so I am going to need lots of support.

This will be my third juice fast. I started and completed a 40 day juice fast in February. Then I did a much smaller 4 day fast recently and now I'm looking to start a guided group reboot for 30 days starting May 1st.
Less than a year ago I weighed 234 lbs. I was miserable, depressed and I hated myself and my life. I wanted weight loss surgery but that was not an option (husband's company doesn't cover any treatment of obesity). I was a few pounds away from being technically morbidly obese.
My husband had me watch the amazing documentary FSAND and something clicked. It all made sense and for once in my life, I felt like there was a way I could possibly get my life back.
I lost some weight on my own with portion control and then by replacing a meal or two here or there with juice and by Feb. 13th when I started my first official 40 day fast, I weighed 193 lbs. at the end of my 40 day fast, I down about 25 lbs. I went from a size 18 to a size 12. I went from an XXL shirt to a large. I am also no longer obese!
I don't have an official goal weight but I have a goal RANGE and I still have a way to go before I get there. I'm hoping to find as many people who want to join me and a few friends. We have a group on Facebook right now (only because this type of forum is very confusing for most people once you get more than a page worth of replies) And this is a blog I wrote that explains what the plan is http://my40dayjuicefast.blogspot.com/2013/04/30-day-may-2013-juice.html
You can also see my before and after photos, my weight log, recipes and much, much more.
I can't wait to meet and get to know some fellow juicers and start this 30 day journey to a better health together!

So, you've finished your reboot and you are ready to transition to solid food. CONGRATS! It's not as scary as it seems! I promise!
