I am starting my first reboot tomorrow, I feel very excited about what lays ahead for my health. It is very encouraging reading your story, I know its not going to be easy at the start so that is why I think the forum is so important, for encouragement and advice. Just one question at the moment. Is it advisable to set a target for the reboot ie 10, 20, 30 days, or is it ok to just keep going?????

- About: I was sick of being sick and fat! In June of 2012, I weighed the most I've ever weighed: 234 lbs. I never even got that heavy when I was pregnant with TWINS! I was embarrassed to go anywhere, I was severely depressed, I felt lost, and I desperately needed help. I started off with a 40 day fast and I've also completed 2 or 3 smaller 2 week fasts, and a few smaller fasts. I've gone from 234 lbs to under 170 lbs and I feel amazing now! I no longer suffer from psoriasis, I sleep much better at night, my skin looks amazing and I've gone from a size 20 to a comfortable size 12. I also don't have the stomach pain that came with my Crohn's disease. Life is just overall better! And I know I couldn't have achieved all of my dreams, had it not been for the support I got from the Reboot with Joe forums! I have also started coaching others who are looking for support with clean eating and fitness AFTER you finish your juice reboot and I love it!!! There is no better feeling than having a client be successful and to see them reach their goals! TeelaHerman.com
- Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I joined the Reboot with Joe forum during my first fast in February of 2013. I truly believe I wouldn't have been as successful with my 40 day fast had I not joined the Reboot with Joe and checked in daily. I gained some wonderful friends and got amazing support from people who had already been where I was. The Reboot with Joe is a godsend!!

I am wanting to get started with juicing. What advice can you provide?
i am starting a 20 day fast myself..i am on day one. I am her for support and also to give back. I hope to achieve some great results and just to feel better all around but all in all juicing will now be a part of my life forever. I love it
Wow! Great job! I'm going to begin a 21 day and hope I can get down to the 180's! I'm here for support and to give support! Again, fantastic work!
I am going to start my FIRST Reboot on Sunday. I am new to juicing. In going through the recipes from the book "Reboot with Joe" I see where you can use alternative vegetables for other ones. My question is: What if I do want to replace Kale for spinach. How will I know what the "quantity" is for the spinach? Thanks for any help!!
Hi I am using spinach instead of Kale because they don't sell it where i live.. go for it.. swiss chard is good too! good luck!
how did your reboot go Kay?
You are truly and inspiration. Years ago my life changed with your first movie and I have lost my way . Now 4 years and 30 lb later, I feel heavy, unhealthy and sluggish. My body is crying and screaming for healthy nutrients. I have tried it all. I just watched your 2nd movie and already I feel a stir inside of me . As if a small light in a dark hopeless room. I will watch your movies weekly - Thank you in advance.
Thank you; you are an inspiration!!!
So proud of you!
Congratulations on your weight loss and your business success! I can't wait to get home from work and check out your website!
Your an inspiration!

I'm Teela. I live in Texas and I am a wife and mother to three young sons.
I am a total newbie but I've had my juicer for just over a week and I've really broken her in! She's AMAZING and I'm in LOVE with her! Heehee
I've probably lost 4 lbs in the last week, and I've only replaced about 3 meals total and just added a BUNCH of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I am going to do a 40 day fast starting on Feb 13th and I am PUMPED! I can't WAIT! Less than one week!
I hope to meet a lot of new and amazing friends along my way. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and I'd love any support anyone would like to offer.

I'm so mad and angry. I need help before I give up.
I did great the first few days of the fast, lost about 9 lbs and then that's it. I've not seen any weight loss since Day 6 or so, in fact, since starting my period, I've GAINED weight.
Someone help!!!! I know I shouldn't be so obsessed with the number on the scale but OMG WHY AM I GAINING WEIGHT!?!?!?!?!? My husband had the audacity to say it was because I'm drinking too much juice!!!!! Great, so I was a fat blimp stuffing my face....and now I'm a fat blimp drinking fresh and expensive juice!?!?!?! Argh. I want to give up, run away and never come back. I need some support, motivation, advice, help, SOMETHING!

I had a nasty inner ear infection that was close to rupturing my eardrum on Day 4. I went to urgent care and stupidly didn't mention my fast. He put me on 500 mg ammoxicillin 2x a day. I'm on Day 8 of the juice fast (day 4 of antibiotics) and my ear is not better, my throat now hurts, and my other ear seems to be bothering me.
I made an appointment with my family care doctor today and plan to tell him about my juice fast but I was curious if anyone else has experienced anything similar? I'm hoping my doctor doesn't recommend I go off the fast. I need help. Ay tips? Advice? Encouraging words? Similar stories? Help a fellow juicer out. Aside from this darn infection, I feel WONDERFUL!

I will be starting a 40 day juicing fast to go along with lent. Is anyone else out there planning the same thing? This will be my first fast so I am going to need lots of support.

This will be my third juice fast. I started and completed a 40 day juice fast in February. Then I did a much smaller 4 day fast recently and now I'm looking to start a guided group reboot for 30 days starting May 1st.
Less than a year ago I weighed 234 lbs. I was miserable, depressed and I hated myself and my life. I wanted weight loss surgery but that was not an option (husband's company doesn't cover any treatment of obesity). I was a few pounds away from being technically morbidly obese.
My husband had me watch the amazing documentary FSAND and something clicked. It all made sense and for once in my life, I felt like there was a way I could possibly get my life back.
I lost some weight on my own with portion control and then by replacing a meal or two here or there with juice and by Feb. 13th when I started my first official 40 day fast, I weighed 193 lbs. at the end of my 40 day fast, I down about 25 lbs. I went from a size 18 to a size 12. I went from an XXL shirt to a large. I am also no longer obese!
I don't have an official goal weight but I have a goal RANGE and I still have a way to go before I get there. I'm hoping to find as many people who want to join me and a few friends. We have a group on Facebook right now (only because this type of forum is very confusing for most people once you get more than a page worth of replies) And this is a blog I wrote that explains what the plan is http://my40dayjuicefast.blogspot.com/2013/04/30-day-may-2013-juice.html
You can also see my before and after photos, my weight log, recipes and much, much more.
I can't wait to meet and get to know some fellow juicers and start this 30 day journey to a better health together!
