  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: Joe inspired me! His transformation was amazing and I want to feel that as well! I also think because I have no will power (all diets I try I suck at as I cannot stick to them - my mind overtakes my urge to do good....) and thought meeting others going through the same thing will help me.
  • Favorite Juice? Apple, carrot, celery and ginger (my own juice)
  • Food temptation? SUGAR ie CHOCOLATE ANYTHING!!!!

    Hoi

    Groetjes

Oh , weird much. I lived in Newcastle for 20 years. Went to both uni and Tafe (tighes hill) there. My children were born there also.

Re DUbai... Aka the land of sand... Its ok. Have been here now in middle east for 4 yrs. spent over 10 in Bangkok. And if we were allowed milk on our diet, i would introduce you to camel milk, an acquired taste but much healthier than cow.

I hope the juice plan proves well for your own wellness. I will be here for at least next 56 days... We can support each other. :)

That is so spooky Maxene re Newcastle! I did a lot of my photographic and typsetting courses at Tighes Hill :o) and I was there for just over 20yrs before moving to Sydney to grow up! You are well travelled which is great. Camel milk huh....I like goats milk so I would be game to try! I will be glad to travel with you through the reboot. Joe Cross is doing a special 3 day guided reboot from the 6th of Jan you might like to join as well. Could be fun to see what he contributes since it is his site we are on!? He is a fellow Aussie as well so I reckon you should join in. Lookup New Years reboot on groups or Joe Cross under "search all members" to find it. Looking forward to juicing with you! I am really going to bed now as after 1am! Trace

    Salaam alaikum Tracey,

I am connected to the Ambrosini family - banana plantation- by my sister, and my mother lives in Toormina Place in Coffs. I too used to live there many moons ago. Lol, in wild surfing teenage days.

I work in the education field at an Australian International School. most teachers are from the Gold Coast (where my children also live now).

My juice plan is going very well. I was suitably impressed by our PE teacher's efforts so he passed his 9 day plan to me based on the FSND. TO date I have stuck tightly with it... My 4 th day, and am happy in feeling healthy and with The weight loss of 3 kg... Not pounds!

I was challenged to go on the 60 day plan... Which being a typical Sagittarian I couldn't let it go unchallenged! Hehe. I am on December holidays at the moment which makes it easier... Most people have gone away so am not tempted by food ... Yet! A friend came over today to share some alcohol cheer but I turned it down and instead looked forward to a green juice. Tomorrow evening will be a test when my RUssian friends take me out to celebrate... They love their chocolate, rich foods and good ol' vodka, cognac etc. I will be strong. Lol, promise.

I dont seem to have had any side effects some others talk about... And I am now very strict with hydration which I know helps tremendously. For every class of juice I have, I follow it with an equal glass of H2o.

Glenreagh used to flood a lot, yes! But from memory it is a beautiful area.

Yep it is beautiful up in Glenreagh. I look straight at Sherwood cliffs. I used to live in the Blue Mountains and look straight at the escarpment. I knew I would not get that spectacular up here but this is spectacular none-the-less and I have land and only 25mins to the beach so I am happy as originally grew up in Newcastle. You are doing so well re your weight loss. I was a TAFE teacher for 16years but burnt out spectacularly back in 2008. I am on antidepressants for anxiety now to function (not mental - just mentally fatigued)...I have not been able to lose the large amounts of weight I am seeing others lose and reckon it is the drugs. I would love to get off them but it needs to be a slow withdrawal and I am not ready for that yet. I have lost 4.5kg since late Nov. but that said broke the juice fast several times due to functions attended and expect this will keep happening until post xmas. I am eating very healthy foods though but do have the sml dessert every now and again as well which I know is not good. I have bought fresh fruit and veg to juice again from tom. but I will continue my am protein shake so i have the energy to get through my day as I am doing a bit of physical work at present and need the energy in the humidity up here.

Do you like Dubai? I have never been there. I was going to do a stopover there on the way to teh UK last trip to see my partners parents but we went via Korean Air instead so we missed out. It seems like an interesting place. How long have you lived there adn how long will you stay for?

Well it is after 12.30am and I must get to bed as a big day tom....Lovely to meet you Maxene and I look forward to talking to you again soon! Namaste. Tracy

Hi Ms Tchapman 1... Lol, i am now going to turn the tables and ask for your help and guidance given I have only just started a reboot 2 days ago.

HI Maxene! Wow we are worlds apart in distance huh but bound by a common thread via Coffs! I live in Glenreagh. Where is your family? What are you doing in Dubai and how is the fast going? I have been on and off for several weeks now and will continue this route till post xmas when I hope to go on a longer fasting journey. It makes you feel fabulous! I work hard at present training horses and find I need a protein smoothie in the mornings to bring my energy levels up but I am resuming the juices for lunch and dinner tom. as I feel sick on food at present so I guess my body is appreciating the break! I felt like garbage the first few days of my 1st fast not so long ago. Once you work your way through this you will feel amazing. Lots of energy, clearer eyes and skin and better sleep. How are you feeling now? Tracy

tchapman - pssh! :-) Don't for a moment entertain the thought that you have no will power. We are mad creators and we believe (too easily) the thoughts in our head. Between your ears, you have all the will power ever made, given to anybody, in all of creation! That is the seat of your power and your being. And you are powerful! Don't ever believe otherwise. Any thought of smallness or weakness is what has set ALL of us on the path of self-improvement. Right or wrong, good or bad, our thoughts of smallness have effected us greatly. And it is so nice when we look at these beliefs and just say NO. NO - I am not weak. NO - I am not fat. NO - I am not unworthy. And when we do this and really do this -- we can't help but notice the world responds in kind. I have watched so many Biggest Losers...oy vey. But each time I watch, you can see the shift in the minds of the people, and when those shifts happen, when they really make the mental transition -- you can see it! And then...voila! Things just happen. Weight is lost. They feel good. They stand tall. And look out!! lol

Looking at your face right now, I see a person who is strong and capable and shouldn't bow down to such limiting beliefs of feeling weak. :-) Feel it in your core. You are good, strong, worthy and wonderful (and dog gone it, people like you :-) ) This diet thing is only ever as hard as we make it. The cause of the difficulty, just like the cause of the weight gain, is all in our head. All things are possible when we believe in self and have faith. Trust me, you got this. :-)

Apple, carrot, ginger and pear is my favorite, btw. So only celery separates us. hehe

Tx for the upbeat hype Dan! Very much appreciated. If one does not like celery then maybe we are many veggie patches apart in our likes and dislikes :o) I agree. Having come on and off this fast a few times over the past couple of weeks I am finding I am getting stronger - not weaker - re my thought processes about what I want and need and how I am going to achieve it. I feel much better when I eat a simple diet and although Christmas is coming and it brings with it social pressures to eat and drink, I am certainly not indulging in food and alcohol as I would have done previously which is great!

I am currently having a protein based smoothie in the mornings to get through my hectic day, but I then go to juices as I love the feeling of being energised and not sluggish. I will continue this until post xmas and then hopefully fully fast again soon after. I am losing weight and feeling great! Merry Christmas to you Dan and happy juicing! Tracy

Thanks for your interest and support. My intention is to create a group that goes beyond a classic 3/10/15/30/60 day reboot regimen into a reboot juicing/eating lifestyle shift. No need to re-gain pounds and re-do hard-earned rebooting efforts. I have reversed all disease, diabetes, chronic ailments, and have maintained and sustained a 150 pound weight loss with Daily Reboot Green & Rainbow Vegetable Juicing and a Plant-Based WholeFood eating lifestyle. (WFPB - means whole food plant-based ingredients, plant-based foods as close to their natural state as possible). . Please see the original feature at Reboot with Joe success profile at: http://bit.ly/1czS3JJ .

And the Two Year Anniversary Success Profile at: http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/reboot-success-story-dan-miller/

There is also some behind the scenes footage, a video testimonial and a Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead commercial spot to view at ---> http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/rebooting/dan-miller/

I completely understand and empathize where you all might be coming from - I have so been there and done that. The hardest part is just making the decision to commit to your self. It seems that once you make the decision to overcome confusing eating habits and make a change....the quick results and new found energy pumps you up to follow through, prevail and find success.

After watching my beloved Joe Cross & personal saviour Phil Staples in www.fatsickandnearlydead.com and with further reading of Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live", "The China Study and WHOLE" by T. Colin Campbell and, watching the recommended "Forks Over Knives' documentary, I discovered that eating plant-based wholefoods and drinking green vegetable juices will in fact aid you to overcome highly addictive hyper-palatable foods like animal-derived products, dairy, fats & sugar and to overcome poor eating habits like; the excessive consumption of animal protein products, oil & cholesterol, refined sugar, high sodium and other nutrient deficient junk food, all which led to my obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and my wife's battle with osteo-arthritis and auto-immune diseases.

Be sure to review all the posts below starting on page one through to the present... there are videos, viewpoints, comments, pictures and links to aid you in your personal journey to lose weight and gain optimum health with Reboot Vegetable Juicing and a Plant-Based WholeFoodist attitude. I could make a number of suggestions while undertaking a reboot juice feast regimen or simply incorporating more fruits & veggies (whether juiced, blended or eaten whole) into your daily meal planning. First of all – Be Kind to Your Self! It took many years and lots of poor food choices to become overweight – It will take some time to lose it. Your body must be allowed to come into balance with phytonutrient dense plant-based foods. There will be plateaus during your weight loss journey – you’ll think nothing is happening, but it is. ************Avoid the scale to avoid disillusionment.......... Clean out your pantry to avoid temptation.****************

The weight will come off with reboot vegetable juicing and a plant-based food choice – but must be allowed to integrate and work with your level of conscious nutrition.

Free yourself from added eating stress and change the way you approach it. Forget dieting and just start a process of "Incorporating ~ Eliminating". Start incorporating a larger quantity of (cooked or raw, juiced or blended) plant-based whole foods like: green and rainbow color fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans-peas-legumes, nuts & seeds . Start eliminating and weeding out the SAD diet foods like: drive-through junk & hyperpalatable fast food, animal products (meats, seafood, shellfish, eggs), animal-derived products (dairy, butter, cheese, ice cream, whey, casein, lard), oil fat/sugar/sodium-laden processed, refined and packaged foods. .........>There is over 40 years of research supporting that a WholeFood–PlantBased (WFPB) eating lifestyle will rejuvenate & regenerate your whole body, will alleviate chronic annoying symptoms, and reverses degenerative diseases like: obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Reboot Juicing is a tool to discover and compliments a shift to including more plants into your daily eating habit.

------> Not only is plant-based whole foods the healthiest way of eating that has ever been studied, but it’s far more effective in promoting health and preventing disease than prescription drugs, surgery, vitamin and herbal supplementation, and genetic manipulation. A PlantBased Reboot Juicing lifestyle entails; No counting calories, No drowning in minutiae about what to eat or what not to eat --- just simplify and make wise health-promoting choices........ DRINK Vegetable Juices & EAT Plants!

This group is open to all exploring extreme weight loss with reboot vegetable juices and incorporating more plant-based nutrition. I have found that combining Reboot Juicing with a Plant-based whole food eating lifestyle has worked for extreme sustained weight loss and achieving optimum health - the results have been phenomenal.

Kiwi's juicing for health. New Zealand is a small country at the foot of the world but we face big issues with health. Using the healthy fruit and veg we have in this country and the power of our juicers we will get there. Discussions of local products, problems with equipment, supporting each other and locking into the "No. 8 wire" do it yourself Kiwi Passion and dropping that weight and grabbing on to health.
