Survivor2014

  • About: I was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma in June 2010. Prognosis was 3 - 5 years. The first year of living with cancer I became complacent, scared, helpless and experienced all of the normal roller coaster of emotions. I've had two back operations, one lung operation and one armpit operation to remove all lymph nodes where there wasn't any cancer at all. I have had no treatment of any kind including chemotherapy and radiation. I suffered liver damage during this time, whether it was previous damage from years of abuse or from the cancer, I do not know. Nearly two years had flown by after the 'panic stage', my mind kicked into 5th gear to begin the battle of self help and the almighty cure for my cancer. Time to beat this once and for all!! Divorce didn't help my fighting mind in the 2 years of 'panic' either. The first thing was to visit a naturopath and then came JUICING! My GGT value was 43, the normal range being 5-35. It wasn't that high but I wanted to improve it none the less. I juiced for 3 months from February 2013 until the next Liver Function Test in May 2013. My GGT went from 43 down to 19! I went to my naturopath also and saw with my own two eyes that my blood under a microscope (heamaview - live blood analysis) cleaner after juicing. This was MORE than enough proof that juicing works on so many levels. Between juicing, clean eating (I'm trying to eat more RAW foods) and detoxing I believe I have cured my own cancer. My GP said to me 'whatever I am doing, keep it up, it's working'. Recently my Oncologist moved me from 3 monthly PET scans to 6 monthly. Pretty damn good for such a poor diagnosis right?! It's all about the clean food and water we put in, the toxins we need to release, the sunshine on our faces, exposing our feet to the earth, positive emotions and great relationships. Happy Juicing! :D
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I was lucky to witness Don Tolman speak words of absolute wisdom last week for the very first time. His website then lead me to his son Tyler Tolman, which from there I saw a fantastic film about juicing, 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead'. What a fantastic journey for all those involved in the film. I joined here as it's about time i did a 'Reboot' myself!! That's it.
  • Favorite Juice? My morning juice...beetroot, carrots, green apple, celery, ginger, garlic.
  • Food temptation? Chocolate...but I make my own now which is actually a metaboliser!
