  • About: I'm a Melbourne girl and living in a wonderful place. I have lovely children and a great life! Instagram: Tminus17
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I'm 40 on May 1 and about 3 stone over my 'happy weight'. I haven't always been this overweight. The weight has crept on over the past few years post-divorce and working full time with little kids etc. Comfort eating I guess. I've always been lean and healthy and I am ready to fight my way back to looking and feeling great. xoxo

Hi everyone! I had a carby, boozing, indulgent week (still vegetarian). I am now doing a 30 day reboot, eating some meals but 100% fruit and vegetables. No cheating, no bending, nothing but fruit and vegetables. Very excited, I feel like this is going to make a huge difference to my general wellbeing. Hope everyone is happy and heathly!!! xoxoxoxo

Hi everyone, I have been off the internet for a bit as I turned 40 and got very busy with various celebrations etc. After my 15 day reboot I lost a stack of weight and a tonne of inches. I feel great, I have started eating a little bit of quinoa and I tried some food with gluten and have noticed no really negative reactions. I am still losing weight, I will eat 'normally' for two more weeks and then do another 15 days of strict fruit/veg/juicing to get some more weight off. I love being vegetarian/vegan it is definitely better. :)

Day 14 - Still going hard. I've lost 4 kilos and 13 cms off my waist. Tomorrow is the last day, though I will not be abandoning the healthy changes I have made to my diet. No more crap, processed garbage, meat, diary or gluten. :)

Day 12 - All I really have to say today is that I can't wait until my 20 days of Rebooting hard-core is over so that I can stuff my face with all the fantastic vegetarian / vegan recipes in Joe's book. I was paging through the transition section last night and drooling at the ingedients list. Black bean burgers. OH. Yes please. As Joe did after his 60 day juice fast, I am going to do vegetarian for 90 days and see how I feel. I am thrilled at the instant response my body has had to changing my dietary habits. I'm working hard to not become a preacher and try to convert everyone around me. I'm not eating diary for 90 days either, then I'm going to get a blood test and see what my vitamin levels are like.

Day 11 - Feeling fantastic have not eaten anything but fruit and vegetables for 11 days and I have a new lease on life. My sons eating around me has little to no effect on my willpower, mostly because I haven't needed willpower on this cleanse. I find it really easy, I don't want to eat defenseless animals anymore, at all, and I don't care about processed garbage. I'm getting results I never thought I would get. My skin is GLOWING. I'm 40 years old in two weeks and I am not wearing make up. RESULT!

OK today was the first day of just juicing. I was fine all day, but I got very hungry about 6pm and still am (it's midnight). I haven't cheated, I have even thought about cheating. I am very proud of myself in that regard, I have just measured and I've lost 6 cms (2.4 inches) from my waist so far. I'm thrilled and I will just go to bed hungry and be grateful that I can have a fabulous juice for breakfast. Tomorrow I get my sons back from their dad (I have them every second week) and this will get harder. I will be cooking for them every meal, making toast, spaghetti bolognese and baked fish with potoates and fresh salad etc. I am going to find that tough. :)

I have three teenagers and a hubby who eats like one. I cook all the meals for them and understand your angst. I have found two things that helped me in this regard: 1) I have a juice over ice with a nice straw next to me as I cook. Everytime I think about the smells or wonder about "a bite" - I DRINK! 2) I have been preparing meals earlier when I am not hungry. When I can, I have been trying to cook the meals and then just reheat them for the kids and hubby. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Day 6 is just kicking off - I am feeling wonderful. I have had no cravings, no sickness, no lethargy. The opposite. I feel contented, optimistic, upbeat and full of energy. Today is the first day of juice-only, and I am interested to see how I manage without chewing/eating salads and veggies. I don't feel hungry at all, my skin is glowing and I've lost 2.4 kilos (5.2 pounds). Happy days! I heart Joe!!!!

Good luck with the juicing only today - hope it went well. I think the 6 days beforehand really helps with setting you up for the fast.
