  • About: I have been active all my life taught aerobics, dance, jogged, walked, biked, hiked, raised 6 kids 5 sons and 1 daughter, all adults now. 9 grand kids and number 10 on the way. Owned my own successful business then four years ago was diagnosed with pernicious hemolytic anemia and lupus my hemoglobin was at 45 dropping when I was admitted into hospital, I was working full time at my business it was a real effort I could hardly breath, the nurses called me the walking dead. The drug of choice was prednisone I gained 30 pounds in 3 day while on IV and another 80 in 6 months, then I got diabetes as an effect of being on such high doses of steroids. I had to close my business which I loved! It took almost a year to get my hemoglobin in a normal range, I have had to redefine my life, and now with your help I am going to design my life into a more positive, vibrant life filled with dreams of travel and family. My goal when I was younger was to be a sassy senior. So let's lift our juices glasses high... cheers!
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I saw Joe's first show and decided to start juicing and felt better. But I was told to stop juicing when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I saw this reboot in a newsletter I received and kept thinking about it, this morning I decided to SIGNED UP so here I am excited, hopeful, & looking forward to being sassy, fit and fun.

Oh no...Murphy's law....just when you get into a good groove. I felt so discouraged for a day or so when they told me not to water walk, just when I got into it and working my butt off. But I was happy that I didn't get so discouraged that I gave up. That's the one thing I've learned from this reboot....that there are other far better and healthier ways of dealing with, set backs, disappointments...whatever. Just get right back on it and be kind to yourself!! I think about where my head was at before doing this reboot! Wow...what a change and I'm determined to not give in, up etc. take care of yourself and take a few days to recover and now while quiet, think out a plan of action for the next week. That helps me to focus on the bigger picture! Good luck and let me know how you do!! Diane

I feel so good today and peeked ahead at next weeks menu they have red beet the red beets in the store don't look healthy. Can they be substituted with red cabbage?

Then started wondering how I will do with just juice...panic last time spent my life int he bathroom. How am I going to go walking???

Decided to quiet my mind, live in the moment take today enjoy and make it a the best day.

Looking forward to Wed. I will be ready to go full juicing by then which in itself will helps me be motivated to receive helpful info and tips to equip us to move forward.

Have a great day fellow juicers.

Felt great yesterday blood sugars were in the 4.9, had the best nights sleep ever in months. Yes! This morning my sugar was 8.9 which high for me so the berries for dessert will have to go. Had a bit of a headache last night, oh I wanted to munch on something salty, just a habit when watching TV had some water instead. Today I feel wonderful... Have a great day fellow juicers it's all about choices and consequences.

Finally able to get out and get my groceries today starting tomorrow so I will be two day behind you all. It's been hard to get around the past week! I am looking forward to being able to walk again with less pain. A good thought to keep me going.

Sending you all success for tomorrow.

Hi there...I'm two weeks ahead as I couldn't wait to start! I feel great, and trips to the potty seem seem to be slowing down...yay. I think the straight juicing is easier with a lot less time in the kitchen. I juice in the morning for the day and then I can forget about it and get on with my work. I had to do something drastic to get healthy at this age before it's too late! I too want to be able to enjoy my grandkids and get back to doing more! Good luck!
