Currently on day 33 of what I think may ultimately be 100 days! Looking forward to seeing my idolatrous heart changing for the better, and for my body to follow!

Welcome to the reboot! I homeschooled my 5 kids who are now 17-33. The two youngest still live at home and are totally on board with all the healthy changes we've made. My older kids are incorporating these changes as well. It's so rewarding to see that happening. Hope your juice fast is going well! JUICE ON!

This group is inspired by all the amazing people I have met in this community who, like me, have or had 100 lbs or more to lose when starting this journey with our wonderful Joe Cross:) There are special challenges in this world for those of us who are "morbidly obese" and there are some incredibly inspirational people around here conquering those challenges every day. Come be inspired and inspiring!

Hi Everyone! I finished the New Year's Reboot and felt great, so I started up a 15-Day Reboot! It went so well, that lots of us in the group decided to extend it to 30 days! Now we're finished, and are transitioning from juicing to keeping a healthy diet. We've got a very positive and upbeat group full of supportive people all with the same goals to lose weight and restart a healthy lifestyle. Come join us! You'll be very glad you're here.

Have polar vortices and Joe's video from Hawaii made you yearn for summer? Summer….the smell of coppertone, beaches and showing more skin. Just in time for hot weather, mini dresses, shorts and bikini's (men are welcome - mankini's are not. lol) is a 100 day challenge.

Officially STARTS JAN 14 - JAN 19 and ENDS APRIL 24-28 but anyone can join the challenge at any time... just start and count to 100

This group is for people wanting to combine juicing with exercise for a initial 100 day commitment. Only 5-7% of people who lose weight keep it off. This group is for people who want to change their lifestyle and habits to achieve permanent weight loss and live a healthier active life.

Is this group right for you?

    1. You take responsibility for your choices. This group is for people who are mostly juicing. If your plan is to plan for an occasional meal out with friends, have your meal and enjoy, thats great - IMO planning is key to success and health. Juicing is about long term health so learning to make healthy decisions in social situations is important. No confessionals! Guilt, shame, cheating do not belong in a healthy relationship with food.
    2. You want to be active and lead a healthy life style. You aren't waiting to lose weight before you are active, you want to start today or have already started. You're ready to lose weight, tone, build muscle, and/or challenge yourself in a healthy way.
    3. This isn't a race - realize that everyone has setbacks. When setbacks happen we get back on track immediately…Remember, the tortoise always wins the race.
    4. You're an optimist - post positive affirmations etc
    5. You are focused on juicing, exercise, and activities (aka life) not weight loss. Weight loss is great but it shouldn't define who a person is. If you need to lose weight, like me, take it day by day and focus on enjoying the journey not finding validation on the scale.
    6. You're not an enabler - provide support and a swift kick to people to get back on track.
    7. Hopefully, you already have some good habits in place and feel good juicing.

Hopefully there are others out there who are approaching healthy eating, juicing/rebooting and exercise as a permanent lifestyle change and want to join this challenge.

Those that are already at a healthy weight and have transitioned to an occasional reboot/ healthy diet are welcome to join as group mentors.

  • Reboot for the month of April. NO "FOOD TALK"

Let's start spring with a swift kick and do a reboot for the month of April. Our group began in March; some started and some left...but many stayed. This group is for anyone who wants to do a full juice fast. That means no solids are eaten OR talked about. If you feel that you need to be eating while juicing, there are other groups that have that as their focus. If you slip while on your reboot, just tell us that you slipped without going into specifics...and continue on. "Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible. Suddenly you're doing the impossible." St. Francis of Assisi

I am going to dive into a 30-cleanse in order to best reboot my system and tastebuds! It's very difficult to get through food cravings so personally, I need something drastic to commit to in order to successfully change my lifestyle. I'd love to create a support group for people committed to creating a healthier future for themselves. After just one day on the pre-reboot "diet", I already realize that I need a strong system of friends that can motivate and support one another; I know I'm not the only one out there! Please join and post often; pictures, stories, motivational quotes... anything! It will be easier if we do it together!

  • Springing into action with a reboot - NO FOOD TALK

It's officially SPRING and our bodies need to do some spring cleaning. Let's kick it off with a juice fast. It can be any number of days. Where you start or finish doesn't matter - just give it a try. Let the countdown to summer begin. As the title says "NO FOOD TALK". Discussions about food can throw off your fellow juicers, so be careful. BEING OVERWEIGHT IS HARD. LOSING WEIGHT IS HARD. CHOOSE YOUR HARD! Kate
