    Day 1 == JUICE ONLY. April 14, 2017. It's time. I'm glad I took 3 days to have juice AND food - it gave me TIME to really THINK about this journey. I'm focused, I'm ready!!! I've got a headache from giving up COFFEE, but again - I'm so grateful to you all for sharing your stories because I KNOW I'm now on the right path.

    This weekend will be a real test - Juice Only - and I'm getting ready for that Crazy Day 3 threshold on Sunday. After Day 3, I hope I'll be confidently "In the Zone" ... but for now, I'm going to focus on taking things ONE day at a time.

    Viva la JUICE!

    Have polar vortices and Joe's video from Hawaii made you yearn for summer? Summer….the smell of coppertone, beaches and showing more skin. Just in time for hot weather, mini dresses, shorts and bikini's (men are welcome - mankini's are not. lol) is a 100 day challenge.

    Officially STARTS JAN 14 - JAN 19 and ENDS APRIL 24-28 but anyone can join the challenge at any time... just start and count to 100

    This group is for people wanting to combine juicing with exercise for a initial 100 day commitment. Only 5-7% of people who lose weight keep it off. This group is for people who want to change their lifestyle and habits to achieve permanent weight loss and live a healthier active life.

    Is this group right for you?

    1. You take responsibility for your choices. This group is for people who are mostly juicing. If your plan is to plan for an occasional meal out with friends, have your meal and enjoy, thats great - IMO planning is key to success and health. Juicing is about long term health so learning to make healthy decisions in social situations is important. No confessionals! Guilt, shame, cheating do not belong in a healthy relationship with food.
    2. You want to be active and lead a healthy life style. You aren't waiting to lose weight before you are active, you want to start today or have already started. You're ready to lose weight, tone, build muscle, and/or challenge yourself in a healthy way.
    3. This isn't a race - realize that everyone has setbacks. When setbacks happen we get back on track immediately…Remember, the tortoise always wins the race.
    4. You're an optimist - post positive affirmations etc
    5. You are focused on juicing, exercise, and activities (aka life) not weight loss. Weight loss is great but it shouldn't define who a person is. If you need to lose weight, like me, take it day by day and focus on enjoying the journey not finding validation on the scale.
    6. You're not an enabler - provide support and a swift kick to people to get back on track.
    7. Hopefully, you already have some good habits in place and feel good juicing.

    Hopefully there are others out there who are approaching healthy eating, juicing/rebooting and exercise as a permanent lifestyle change and want to join this challenge.

    Those that are already at a healthy weight and have transitioned to an occasional reboot/ healthy diet are welcome to join as group mentors.

    I am starting this group for anyone that needs motivation and is over 300 pounds. In this group we can share the trials and tribulations with being this very obese. It is also for the people who have never really exercise and need encouragement to start and maintain a more active lifestyle. No judgment, just a willing ear and some much needed motivation to get up and start moving for at lease 10 minutes a day to start.

    I have had it. I am done. NO MORE!!!! I am tired, my feet hurt, I do not fit into theaters chairs, I can not stand for more than 10 minutes and if I sit I fall asleep. NO MORE!!! NO MORE!!! If you feel the same way I do, today is the day we turn our life around. Join me and feel good about your health. Help me help you and others that feel like they don't have a chance. Help me support one another. We have to unite and take responsibility. I know it's hard but we have to try. We have to pick up one another, when we fall. We are not along. We will get through this. I am 41 years old. I weigh 330 pounds. I love to eat, anything and everything in my site. NO MORE!!!

    JOIN ME!!! I have a challenge for us... Let's do this for 30 days!! If you fall off just get back up!! But see... We WON'T fall off! Let's prove to ourselves that we are capable of doing this. LET'S BE A TEAM! Let's start living a healthier lifestyle. You even being on this site is already a start. I need some motivation and I can motivate you as well. Let's help eachother out. Let's stop trying and start doing. It may be hard but it isn't impossible. WE can work together and push eachother. On our days when we feel like giving up, let's speak up and seek some words of encouragement. I'm starting today but even if you see this post late, STILL join. I will push you and help you reach your goals. If you're not joining, I would appreciate any advice or any words to motivate or inspire me. I'm on day one and I'm fighting! I'll be posting my recipes and experience day by day until WE reach 30 days. If you stop after 30 days, don't go back to old habits! EAT HEALTHIER and excersice. Do it for your own good. Love yourself enough to make this change. Question for you... Do you want to be happier? Do you want to feel more energy? Live longer? Be able to do things you were never able to? THEN START TODAY AND SEE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE. I know you want to look into the mirror and see a difference for once. Trust yourself and give this your all. Change begins with YOU. Remember that hard work pays off and great things require hard work. Btw, a BIG thanks to Joe! You helped me start TODAY and stop making excuses.

    I'm doing a 60-day juice feast from October 15 - December 13. I'd love to have some company. My only request is that there be no food-talk in the group at all. Mentioning the ingredients that you put in your juice is fine, but nothing else. Hearing and reading about food can totally derail someone who is in a fragile state. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens throughout the 60 days.
