Hi Melly!! Sounds like you are in cruise control!! Congrats!! Wish you were still rebooting along with me. But I understand we are all in different phases. Thanks! I went vegan a month ago. Vegetarian (mostly) for 2 years before that. So it's all quite new, but exactly - I was a semi-healthy vegetarian. Always got my fruits and veggies in but then over-ate on the healthy AND unhealthy stuff. I'm collecting recipes and looking forward to learning how to cook all types of beans and soups.

Here, it may be a bit challenging to be vegan (I have a friend arriving to visit in 3 weeks with 10 kilos of food for me - thank you eBay, so I can finally try those recipes with mysterious things like agave and agar agar and nutritional yeast in them....) but there really aren't many healthy dairy options, it's all processed junk and I felt 100% better not eating them.

But the markets are crammed full of fruits and veggies so that's all good.

Melly, I'm vegan for about 5 years now, so if you need any tips, recipes or ideas - I'd be glad to help if I can. :)

And...it's first day after the reboot! A good run this morning, just a 2-miler but enjoyed my breakfast, that's for sure!

I'm going for 1 juice a day the next few weeks (I've juiced at least once a day since 1st Jan so that's going to continue) then will decide about the next reboot. Still getting used to being vegan and lost almost 6 pounds during the reboot so that's pretty nice!

I'm definitely noticing not wanting to eat as much, and being tempted to eat more just from habit. Focusing on being healthy and losing the last 24 lbs to get to a healthy weight :)

Congratulations! You did it!! How long have you been eating a vegan diet? Was that a transition from a vegetarian diet? I grew up eating a mostly vegetarian diet and my mother and my sister and her family are still vegetarian. But, what I've realized is that being vegetarian doesn't necessarily mean eating healthy. I want to be a healthy vegetarian. That's as far as I've come, for now.

Day 10! Feeling good. Essay is very sloooowly chugging along....feels very odd not to be writing without a stack of chips and chocolate and coffee next to me.

Going to work for a few hours later but otherwise it's essay central today. Must get the thing done! Not helped by the national anthem blasting out next door - a year in Vietnam so far and I still haven't properly learned the tune let alone the words...

By the way, blueviolets, I'm here for the next year or two at least. Most of the last 8 years I've worked in Africa so Asia is different but great. I was in Australia about 10 years ago and loved it. Also loved America and Canada when I've visited, and got to see Mexico too. :)

You have seen and done a lot. That's so exciting! I bet you have some great stories. What is your diet plan after the fast?
