    I want to drop 50 pounds this year, even though the doctor said I lose to lose 80. I'm not too overweight, but i do have a gut I need to drop. I was doing good at five days, but researching everyday and finding people saying this is a crazy diet made me rethink this and stop.

    I'm hispanic and my mother has diabetes so if I don't lose weight my doctor gave me a time frame of five years and I will be heavily at risk of diabetes. People have called me stupid online when I ask for juice fasting questions.

    So i am asking, how do the people here go about and risk this no eating diet? I myself am aiming for 20, I would love 30 though.

    I really am close on starting a juice fasting experience, but I get scared..I was doing my research and read somewhere that juice fasting might lead to diabetes...the reason I'm trying to lose weight is so I don't get as risk for diabetes. The article said something juice fasting gets the body in a starve mode, and being in that starve mode can lead the body in diabetes..Now, I'm aiming for 14 days, and hope I lose some weight to speed up my weight loss process. I'm hoping for 15 pounds as I'm also going to be doing some mid-intense cardio and light weights.

    So I'm scared of having a really bad experience. Has anyone had one?

    So, how many times a die should I be drinking a juice and how much should it be? I'm having trouble with that part starting off with my juice fast. I'm worried I won't be drinking enough for proper weight loss. I'm aiming at 25 days and at least 20-30 pounds with a lot of cardio exercise.

    Monday through Friday I juiced, unsure how much weight I have lost since I don't have a scale. Everyday I googling and researching into juice fasting and lately I been coming across links that say this juice fasting is a really bad idea. So I decided on the weekends to eat small meals with a big side of veggies and fruits. All this with cardio exercises on the side. I plan on juicing for 30 days for weight loss and a reboot. What do you guys think of my plan? I'm 23 and 240 pounds and really want to lose this weight. I don't want to put my health in danger with fasting as I have read can happen.

    The 600 Watt juicer is going to cost me 70 dollars, and the 850 Watt juicer is 108 dollars.

    Is the 850 Watt worth the extra money? Or is it the same thing. I plan to use this three times a week as I plan my fast.

    I get very conflicted when it comes to juicing. I've read many articles stating that juice fasting is unhealthy, a myth, just another hot weight loss gimmick. But reading the stories people from people on this forum on how they lost weight and got healthy makes me think. I'm close to 80 pounds overweight, I don't know what to do. I don't get motivated at the gym and hate going because I feel nothing is working. I might just forget the nay-sayers and juice fast. Glad it's helping you guys. I really want to change my body this year, I'm tied looking at myself.

    Hello, I plan on doing a 30 day juice fast mainly for losing weight and and using it as a reboot to my system. I also plan to work out and drink the whey protein to gain some muscle during my fast. Is this ok?

    I watched Fat, Sick, And Nearly Dead in February and was very, very inspired..Around April is when I decided I was try a juice fast and I really had my hopes and mind set to losing 25-40 pounds during my fast. Then it happened. I read countless articles and heard a lot of advice and they all told said one thing..."fasting is very unhealthy" That killed my spirit on fasting. My friends really recommends I don't do it. I wanted to do 40, now I think I might try a 20. What do you guys say to all the articles on how unhealthy and danger juice fasting is?

    I'm on a 20-30 juice fast diet and I get really hungry, even after drinking a juice. I decided to get some extra protein, I decided to add a protein shake in the mix. Forever Lite Ultra is the protein, is that not a good idea?

    They say with a juicer you lose the pulp, so I'm thinking of juicing half my veggies and fruits, and blending the rest and mixing them this a good idea?

    So, I'm five days into my 25 day juice fast. Now, I'm juicing to use this as a reboot to my life and lose at least 30 pounds. After this no more soda and I will eat healthier. So, everyday I'm researching and seeing how my body is. It's been doing pretty good, but I'm feeling hungry all the time. So, I decided to modify the juice fast by eating twice a day. I will eat one piece of fruit and one piece of vegetable. Is this a good idea or not? I'm 240 pounds if that counts..I just get worried easily and wouldn't want to damage my health or anything.
