Lizane just a little note here, so it hopefully won't get lost under many posts ;-) to wish you again a great camping, a great total recovery from any pain. Fun Joy and Peace!

I have also been a little less active these past days due to the fatigue, that seems to be a bit uplifting, but in my case it is always like that, it goes in waves, comes and goes...I am just keeping up as much as possible with a daily moving, but waiting for a better moment to finally "upgrade" the fitness program...as we say many times, one step at a time, the important thing is to just keep going in the right direction

    à bientôt, amuses-toi bien!

Hey Lizane - I came upon this photo I took years ago and thought of you. Does it look familiar?

May there always be a rainbow shining at the end of your day!

Wow it's beautiful. I love the rainbow. Where is that place? Looks so serene. That is why I love going camping, it makes me connect with nature. I can fill up my battery and reconnect with myself. Thanks for sharing this beautiful picture. No I don't recognize the place. Hard to tell.

Same place your profile picture was taken - Niagara Falls. From the Canadian side and probably from a spot not too far from where you took your picture.

Oh yeah! I can see the falls, I didn't stop my eyes on them at first...I was caught on the beauty of the sky. You are right, we were at the same place but not in the same time...a proof that Mother Earth isn't that big after all.

Hi Barbara, I will go on our group wall to catch up from yesterday. I really love my fitbit. The only down side of it, it's the instruction on how to work with it. It doesn't come with a paper copy, it's all on line. They are lacking pictures to show what they try to explain...so you are not quite sure you are ok or doing it correctly. So far it's working perfectly for me. I really like having the visual on things. It's a nice feeling when you walk and you get the little buzzing moment that is telling you that you just reached your goal! And that from there you are adding more steps toward the main goal of being active and losing weight. I try to push myself a bit further everyday after that little buzz! Wow! walking with the weight of all the juices and in that heat!!! You go girl!!! Swimming must have been very refreshing too. I would love you that have a fitbit so we can buddy up on our little gadgets. :)

The fitbit queen, how are things with you??? You seem to have a new lease of life and I am glad you had a lovely day in Montreal for Canada day.. Keep going and one step two step three step four, see I need a fitbit too... :-)

Hi David, I'm doing great. My husband is on vacations this week so planned some activities to do to keep us busy. Montreal was a good to go yesterday. We went visiting my in-laws. I went walking early morning yesterday just to make sure I had my activity moment. The fitbit is pretty complete. It helps me to be active and trying to reach my goal everyday. It's nice to have a visual on things. It's tracking my sleep pattern and quality of sleep. I'm finding out that out of 8 hours sleep, I actually have only 4 hours of quality sleep cut by 10 times where I wake up...I knew I was not sleeping very well because of my illness but now I can see it on a graphic and realise that it's very sporadic. I love your little train of goodness!

Lizane, have a wonderful trip to Montreal. I love that city and have had many good trips there! Watch out, the food is so very tempting!!! Make sure you find a juice bar or two!

Here's a good website with vegan restaurants and juice bars!

Hi Nivekl, Montreal is very interesting. As for the food, I didn't really had any choices...I was visiting my in-laws. I had a piece of chicken with a big salad...so I'm pretty happy with myself. I skipped the dessert, the coffee and any other temptations. I kept the link for the next time if I go around there. Thanks. On my way back we stopped at Tim Horton's for a tea. Yesterday was very hot and very humid. I ended up drinking almost 4 litres of water during the day. I should say that I was visiting my in-laws' bathroom! ha ha ha!

Hi Barbara, yes I am a fitbittie!!! It's amazing what you can do and log with this little bracelet. I will talk more about it in the group so I can share this with everyone. I'm happy to see that you are doing the rebounding...keep on bong, bong, bong!!! hi hi! I will go for my walk after supper...too hot and too humid today. I went strawberry picking this morning and got 4 big baskets. I will freeze most of them for juicing. They are delicious, juicy and sweet. I wish I could share some with you.

Goodmorning Lizane! Hope you are doing fine, if I got it right you won't be leaving before thursday right?

Hi Barbara, 90 min walking!!! Wow you rock girl! I can do 45 min but not much longer. Yesterday I put an old steps counter that I have. The kind that you have to clip it to you. After my walk I looked and I made 5118 steps! So one walk is about half of my daily goal of 10 000 steps a day. Monday I will go shopping for the fitbit. It's 8h50 am and it's already freaking hot here. I will go walking tonight when it's less humid and hot. How you're clean up is going? Did you manage to make a spot for the rebounder? Take care and keep on walking!

Hi LIzane! taking a break...you know for me walking is just one of those things I could walk forever! I tried to run a little (like 1 minute) but my lower back is slightly flaring up and do not want to risk it, better on my rebounder. Have not gotten to that yet, have been in the kitchen yesterday clearing up and reorganizing it totally, today will try to put the rebounder out and ready! still finishing (I hope) the kitchen today.

Great about your steps, you should keep it on while going around at home, just to see how much you walk in there!! I really think I want a fitbit too hi hi, you should read the little funny article I posted on the group of this guy with the fitbit, it is a nice read :-)

Hey Lizane! how are we going to do this, post on each other's walls or answer to posts? ok, so great to read about your working out (I put mine yesterday here on your wall) I can imagine the grandson is a great workout!!! I know when I see my niece I am KO running around like crazy playing with her and she is never tired!! :-) So do take it easy today, please. I always think long-term...we are on a marathon, not a quick sprint (or what's it called)!

As for me, went swimming this morning for an hour, which really boosts me, it is a total body workout! So that is done for the day. Plus I am going to back to continuing my clearing - up and down the ladder, moving boxes and stuff, washing etc which will be another workout! :-)

take care see you later in the group!

  • Lizane

I think that is what we can do, post on each other walls and reply. I will come everyday to see my wall. I have a question, is it you on the picture? Take it easy with the cleaning marathon, we are supposed to go easy on activities for the first few days of reboot. Take care.

so will I, great! Don't worry, I am feeling ok, I did more or less the same on the first reboot, not really changing the exercises, and was fine, and in the program Vale suggests intense exercises! I think I may buy his dvd on exercises for the rebounder when I finally manage to set it up...ok decided...I am going to find a way to have the space for the rebounder in the middle of chaos, otherwise I will never get back to it! It is so much fun!!

Not me on the picture! It is a model from the 40's/50's from an expo I saw in Paris a few years ago - I am passionate if you remember about sewing and about retro dresses especially, and haute couture, but older things, when it was another level of couture, not into modern fashion at all, I find it mostly with no grace nor femininity (some exceptions) - the couturière is Madame Grès, fabulous dresses from the 30's to the late 60's if I remember well beautiful expo because the dresses were set up in the middle of statues in a place that had a fixed expo of statues, cela faisait beaucoup d'effet! très scénographique...and I took a picture of this picture, also because I used to dress up like that and I want to do it again! :-)

We were there with the family way back in 2007. I have some wonderful pictures of the falls and of course traveling by boat below the falls. We had a lot of fun (and of course stayed on the Canadian side of the falls!)

  • Lizane

Cool! I've been there a few times. We did the boat and the walk tour behind the falls. I never been on the American side so I don't know what is there to do. May be one day...

HI, My name is Lizane, I'm French Canadian, I'm married, have two children and now have a grandson and a little girl on the go. I'm 45 years old, diabetic on insulin and overweight. I decided to create this group for people who are looking for someone to buddy with along the journey of rebooting. Sometime help, encouragement, story sharing or just a simple joke can do the trick in helping others. We might have different reasons why we do this but we are all in the same boat. Losing weight, wanting to be healthier, changing habits and learning everything that we are looking for is a hard working process. Please join me if you are there to kick the beast once and for all!
