    Hi LIndy,

    It took a WEEK to get your message. I am still struggling, and feeling a bit discouraged. I am doing ok with food, but have had some indulgences. I want to get back on track. I think I figured out my privacy stuff. Thanks for the encouragement.

    Pictured below is my Chia seed cereal breakfast, with my hempseed chocolate milk, with flax seed cracker with hazelnut butter. This is what I would have for breakfast on my healthy diet. I can't wait to get back to that lifestyle again. I felt so good every day!

    Congratulations on your 10 day reboot. I believe somewhere on Joe's website they offer a protein plant-based powder. However if you look at most of his food recipes, he has the nutritional value such as his Green Detox Soup I believe that's 9 g of protein. I have enjoyed the raw food lifestyle for about 2 1/2 years. I've done much research on the protein that I thought I was missing. You're going to find protein in vegetables such as kale, etc. if you're eating enough fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds and some grains (gluten-free) you're going to find that protein. There are plant-based proteins out there, just be sure that it's organic. You can also add Chia seeds, flax seeds and different nuts to your smoothies.

    I am not sure what your diet preference is. Some people enjoy the Paleo diet. That would be vegetables, fruits and meats. My daughter was on the Paleo diet for several years and has become more plant-based with occasional meets.

    I always encouraged to do research on the Internet there is a wealth of information out there about the concerns of protein, organic versus commercial produce etc., also there is a vast amount of awesome healthy recipes out there.

    When I finish my reboot I plan to continue on a plant-based diet however, it will be more raw/warm raw. I will be posting many recipes I have created over the past few years.

    Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food. It sure did heal me after years of illnesses and medications. No more illnesses and no more medications as of today. I also lost over 40 pounds. However after four dealths in the family since 2013 , I have gained about 17 lbs. of that back. It's the first time I have ever lost that much weight and actually kept it off, it was much harder to gain it back because I lost it the right way.

    A great breakfast in the morning:

    1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds, 12 oz. Coconut milk (I make my own coconut milk) if you buy yours be sure it's organic.

    1/2 Tablesppon of Gojo Berries

    Add all ingredients to a mason jar and shake really well (a few times within the first 20 minutes) Chill in the refrigerator overnight. Then in the morning pour in I a bowl and top with bananas! My coconut milk a sweet so if desired you can always add honey ( or coconut nectar if you have diabetic issues) to sweeten it. I'm not sure how sweet the store bought coconut milk is.

    Another quick way to make coconut milk is to just take organic unsweetened coconut flakes put them in a high-speed blender like a vitamix add about 2 cups of water. Blend at least 45 seconds, then drain through a paint bag or a nut bag a couple of times to remove the pulp. I add a organic fresh vanilla bean to mine. If you want your milk to be creamier than soak about 10 or 15 almonds in warm water for 15 mins. that removes the dark skin around it so there white you add them to the milk. You can always add the whole almond but then your milk will be brownish. The shell around the almond comes off really easily after soaked, then add those to your already strained coconut milk and blend and strain again after adding the almonds for a creamy coconut milk.

    Yes this is one of Joe's recipes. I'm on the 30 day reboot and in the first five days there are meals and this is one of the soups during this period of my reboot. It's in his recipes on the website as well. It's a wonderful soup. In the raspberry it says to blended or put it in a food processor. I chose to put it in a food processor.

    I am not sure you are getting my posts. I am in Day 8, and plan to go as long as my body tells me to. I can tell when I need to add more. My goal is just to be as healthy as I can be. It is not about the weight, as much as it is energy and stamina. 4 yrs ago I lost my husband of 25 yrs. I am recently remarried, and very happy. ALL the stress took a toll on my mind and body. I am needing to continue rebooting and get back to a healthier ME.
