Laurie-Ann Curry

  • About: As a "renaissance woman" my interests are varied. Middle age has given me the courage to follow my passions. Life is to short and to precious for me not to live each day I have to it's fullest! I intend to meet my maker having used up every single ounce of the gifts and talents he has blessed me with. I'm a farm and "sweet owentuckian" southern Indiana girl born and bred. My daddy and I farmed up to fifteen hundred acres until he died; my daughters and I went the organic route after he passed; as life has moved on I've been blessed to do some pretty incredible things. My work takes me alot of places as I am a an environmental education and food sovereignty specialist. Three years ago I was in Wyoming for a year, two years ago it was Alaska, last year I was in Nebraska, this year I was in Maine for six months and just got back from six months at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. I intend to have my PhD by the time I am fifty seven so to say I keep busy is a slight understatement.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: My weight bounces between 270 and 298, at my heaviest I weighed over 325, I don't know by how much. Lupus, fibro, psoriais y'all know the drill rofl. There is so much I want to do and with eleven grandbears and two wonderful daughters I want to not only feel good but be able to do all the things I can with them. I haven't gone out with anyone for years, not because I'm not asked but because I am so unhappy and uncomfortable with how I look. I need to lose 175 pounds, maybe more and I see this as a healthy way to reset my body. Sugar is my crack but the flip side is when I stay away from sugar I don't eat enough, weird I know. This is my segueway into Beachbody which I have seen work wonders for some folks.
