• Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I am heavy enough that I'm too .. self concious to try dating. I'm tired of the way I breath/feel with moderate exercise. I want to be hawt. I feel like I'm a dissapointment to my family. I find being this heavy embarasing. I'm starting to get jowels!! I think I've started *waddling*. I really, really don't like the "fat clothes".. the designs.. colours.. cuts.. ick! I hate my double chin, and I hate being a gross blob. I have started having chest pains, and worry about early death/heart attacks. I'm noticing many other health issues bubbling up. I can't shop in normal/average stores, and I'm nearly too fat for a size 18! Yikes! I'm always worried about breaking other people's chairs. I realized that I'm slow to action.. but a long time plannning type of person. Watched SFND back in July/13, started making green breakfast smoothies for a few months and loved them, bought a juicer in 10/13, and January 27th was my first day juicing. I am not sure if I'll make it unmodified, but I am AMAZED that I can make it until 4pm on only liquid, with no actual hunger, just bad chewing habbits nagging at me. Fav so far is the Pear Delight and the Green Citrus. Mean Green.. definitly will be playing with modifying that recipe.. ugh! Support and recipe ideas for weight loss.
  • Favorite Juice? Pear Delight and the Green Citrus so far.. Amazed at how tasty carrot juice is.
  • Food temptation? Sugar. Chocolate. Easily made /quick foods.

    2. i am currently doing interviews and hopefully job trainjng in the next two weeks onwards... how bad is your mind , im worried about my mind being so foggy in an interview or training that id blow it....
    3. how bad of a cheat would it be to eat letteces while jucing? aka when the insatiable chewing demond comes for you... would it be so bad to eat a head if iceburg?

I have the Jack Lalande power juicer.. when I used it, assuming I'm making enough juice for 2 or more meals... I find that I have to stop mid way since it gets pretty clogged with pulp and clean the whole thing and then keep going.

Does anyone else have this issue? If not... which juicer do you have? I am not doing a full reboot yet.. but if I were.. the double cleaning would likely drive me insane.

Allo everyone... I bought a juicer yesterday after reading an article in a running magazine, and in the last week heard a few people reference FS&ND.. I just finished watching it and then started searching fro forums.

I'm so happy to find you all! I made juice earlier this morning. .. carrot.. beet, pear, apple.. it' s was fun mixing and matching.. but i'm sure happy to have all the recipes!!

I have a couple of questions:
1.In regards to the dirty dozen: for those that can't afford organic celery ect, do you feel the pesticides in celery has any effect? Do you notice them?

    2. when using an avocado.. has anyone successfully found a way to keep the one half from browning?

    3. Same question for juice: They say the longer you wait to drink your juice, the less powerful it is. I only intend to juice once a day.. either in the am or in the pm. Are there any tricks out there for preserving you juice throughout the day? Does any one freeze? or add lemon?

Finally a small bit of advice for the other newbs.. this morning when juicing, I felt some veggies didn't give much juice, and i knew there was a lot of roughage still in the basket of my machine (Lalande.. hope it's a good one...) so I tossed a tiny amount of water.. less than 1/4 c down the chute.. which kinda cleaned out any juice that was still in the spinner so to speak. I was also thinking that if the fibrous parts were re juiced, and then soaked in a bit of water then drained... you be really pulling all you could from your produce!!

Another thought: do you think it's okay to drink flavored perrier water?? I don't know how I'll live without carbonation.. I may end up getting a soda stream machine so I can carbonize my juices sometimes...
Starting stats: 5'4, 212 lbs at last weigh in. Mental state: low self esteem and completely ashamed of my body, where even if I could find a date.. I don't think I'd be able to take my clothes off in front of a partner.

The thought that I could loose 40lbs or more in 3 months is just astounding... how can you NOT try it.. especially when there's so many "food" recipes ( aka a solid juice !! :) ) you can use when you feel you just need the chew!??

    Hi there..
I just came across this article.. I"m just wondering what other people's thoughts are on it?
I"m hoping that really it's just some troll... basically they say that juicing such as this program is perhaps not so great.. high levels of oxolate causing something akin to kidney stones...has anyone experienced this? I'm hoping it's a bunch of baloney..
