Hi Kristen, I just read your post from 2 weeks ago. When I'm not at home there is just no time to get online and chat. I hope you are feeling better than you were last month. I had my worst gallbladder attack yet right before Easter. I threw up for hours in so much pain! It had been so long since I had an attack I didn't recognize the initial symptoms until it was too late. In the past I would quickly make some flax seed tea by boiling a tablespoon of whole flax seeds in about 2 cups water, simmer for 6 mins and steep for 10 mins. Strain the seeds and drink. It's really slimy but that is what helps. It coats the stomach and reduces the pain. It does not take it away though. My mother, sister and a couple close friends have all had their gallbladders removed. They say it's no big deal to have it done. It's not that I'm scared of surgery I just think it should be a last resort. And yet, I'm conflicted because if indeed it is diseased I don't want it "poisoning" any other part of me. My triggers are nuts and eggs and most recently Taco Bell beef quesadilla. So, being careful of fats now too. I'm going to have my liver checked when I have my physical. I didn't realize one affected the other. Thanks for the info.

- About: Hi. I'm back again. March 2017. Just finished a month of juicing and eating some. Lost 13 lbs and got off my Blood Pressure meds! That was the goal. Now back for 20 more days to get my BMI in normal and stop some anxiety and chest pains- all anxiety it appears. Also, lent. (2015?) I have to update that I went 35 days juicing was pain free, mentally way more stable and clear-headed, and sleeping through every night. Also, I wouldn't get sore. I went skiing two full days and never got sore. I would workout a workout that typically had me sore for a few days- no soreness. Juicing feels better than food. I lost 30lbs. However I was freezing freezing cold the whole time and When coming off the fast I binged like I have never before in my life like a freak out eating that has barely subsided 3 months later and up 10 lbs.
- Favorite Juice? 1 sweet potatoe, 2 pears, 1 apple, 1 cup of blueberries, cinnamon
- Food temptation? Yes, tempted by food!!! I am still making all the food for my family. just looking at all those leftovers at every meal.
thank you for your post. I have a hard time be on phone following - it seems that the threads aren't linked to me properly and I am phone-bound. How are things going. I went 35 days was pain free but now 3 months later and I'm back on here because I'm in pain again. Nuts and eggs irritate me too- do you think that stops me. Oh my, where did I get the will power to go 35 days and now I am all over the place????
Day 14. Last two days hungry hungry, again. Left today for vacation. Brought the juicer. Hope I find a produce place! Down 10 lbs. had trouble sleeping last night bc I was so hungry. I think I have to add more juice or get the protein. We will be skiing so I might get very hungry!! I'm not wanting to add anything but more juice though bc I think it's a very slippery slope into-Oh just that cookie or one muffin.
Day 8 for me and I had a routine doc appointment and my blood pressure was normal. This is a MAJOR surprise to me. I have never had regular blood pressure. When I say never I mean when I was a kid and would get my physical they would ask me if I ran there. I have lost 5 lbs and though losing weight was not my goal- it is a nice side effect. I have much less pain than in the beginning- radiating liver/gall bladder pain. Also, I've had more energy on almost every day than before the juice fast and I feel smarter- like my brain is back. Will this continue? Is brain fog really gone? Will I really heal myself with this? I am really moved bc it was prayer that brought me here. I didn't watch the movie before my first 3 day juice cleanse or until after a few days of this juice feast. I am so thankful.
That's wonderful. My physical isn't for another month. I'm hopeful my blood pressure and labs will be doing better. I haven't had any more brain fog since my first few days. I know God is helping me keep going. I am way too addicted to food to do this on my own. I believe in the medicinal power of plants. I'll pray they do heal you.

JOIN ME!!! I have a challenge for us... Let's do this for 30 days!! If you fall off just get back up!! But see... We WON'T fall off! Let's prove to ourselves that we are capable of doing this. LET'S BE A TEAM! Let's start living a healthier lifestyle. You even being on this site is already a start. I need some motivation and I can motivate you as well. Let's help eachother out. Let's stop trying and start doing. It may be hard but it isn't impossible. WE can work together and push eachother. On our days when we feel like giving up, let's speak up and seek some words of encouragement. I'm starting today but even if you see this post late, STILL join. I will push you and help you reach your goals. If you're not joining, I would appreciate any advice or any words to motivate or inspire me. I'm on day one and I'm fighting!
