• About: I have suffered with several metabolic symptoms my whole adult life and have not been able to understand my condition until now. With the passage of time and people like Joe who are tirelessly applying themselves to the search for real solutions I have come to realize that I need to sort out my diet and exercise and I will probably feel healthier. I quit smoking for the last time a month ago and already feel better. Tomorrow my reboot begins. I had thyroid cancer and a thyroidectomy at 32 years of age. I did not see the whole picture until now. Looking back, I know that my cancer was caused by an autoimmune disease (Hashimoto's) and I suspect the autoimmune trigger was caused by my smoking, nutrient poor diet, and the birth control pill. I am now 47 years old and have been struggling with the following symptoms since I was 27: migraine headaches, hot flashes, anxiety, nervousness, depression, weight loss, (after 35 weight gain), mental fogginess, inflammatory bowel symptoms, low energy, muscle weakness, anemia, and lethargy. I am on anti-depressants, beta-blockers (for migraine prevention), and thyroxine (thyroid replacement).
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I was convinced by Joe from watching his first movie, "Fat, sick, and nearly dead"
  • Favorite Juice? green smoothie (kale or spinach, grapefruit, and ginger)
  • Food temptation? chicken wings
