    Hi. I am a medical doctor and researcher from India. I am overweight my weight for my 5.9 height is 180 lbs. I am initiating juice fast from today i.e 3rd March 2018. I am not thinking of any particular goal for weight loss but I want to survive juice fast for 30 days. I hope the experience will be great. Thanks.

    Hi Justlyn,

    I really have a hard time with celery in the juice. I brought the first green juice from a juice store and it had celery in it so I was not going to waste it but it was a production drinking it down! I just made one green juice this morning that I think I can tolerate - Slim grin - spinach, cucumber, apples (instead of pears) and green grapes. I read that it is fine to add Stevia if you need it as well. I am tracking my weight loss this week and so far it is 1 1/2 lbs as of this morning. I just added in the vegetable broth this week and I find it satisfying. I am hoping that I can go at least 30 days but would love to go 60. I think it is more of a mind game than anything else because I am not hungry at all.

    Hi barbarag,

    A lot of people don't enjoy celery in their juice... I seem to do OK with it. I made 3 days worth of Joe's Mean Green last night, and it turned out quite pleasant. YAY!!! Spinach can add a strong taste too, so lucky for you that you like it as it is SO good for you. Have you tried replacing the celery with romaine lettuce? That might be nice too. You will find as time goes on that even the green juices will start to taste sweet to you... but do you what you need to do by way of adding stevia if that what helps you enjoy it. :-) Play around with recipes until you find something you love... I hate to think of you juicing everyday and it being a struggle to get an ill tasting drink down.

    Mind game... sheesh, that was me yesterday. All I wanted was to be able to eat, or so my head said. LOL

    I've started today the first day in juice fasting
    It's almost 5 PM here in Cairo, Egypt & all I've drank from morning is 3 cups of the green mean (spinach, celery, carrot, cucumber, lemon, ginger, parsley) but i don't have a juicer, so I added some water to that in a blender

    tastes awful :(

    but trying to stick to my target & pass the first day peacefully

    any thoughts?

    most of my concerns & fears is How did you pass the first days??!

    Hi Nottin Hell,

    Welcome! I can imagine the blender drink combination wouldn't have been too appealing... that is also a lot of bulk to have to chug down as well, so very filling? How did your first day go? My first week was tough... although I didn't starve, because I drank juice as required the first few days if hungry. What became challenging was when I missed sharing a meal with my family, still while having to prepare the meal for them. Chewing... missed that too. But after a few weeks I really noticed that my appetite had decreased and on some days, i had to remind myself to drink my final juice! I just finished my 30 days, March 30th. I'm delighted to be done, and feel amazing for having done the reboot!

    I think we're just going to dive right in! We are already 80% "clean" so that will help. I'm sure we will all have our difficult times, but we're ready! Getting the shopping list ready this afternoon!

    Yes I have Fitbit and today I have already 15 000 steps. I would like to continue as long as it will be possible. On 26th of March I go for 7 days Detox that is outside of my home and it is lead by doctor. We will be also juicing and there is also aquapark. I hope this time I will reach my goal 75 kg. It will take some time, but I have to succeed..
