- About: When I was weighed at a doctors appointment in late 2013, I was horrified at the 372 pound result! Worse yet, the doctor fat shamed me! I thought "ENOUGH", and subsequently lost 92 pounds (in 6 or 7 months) by exercising and (what I thought) eating right. But - life happened, and over the next 3 years I fluctuated up and down, all the while being in denial of my true weight, and growing increasingly depressed and moody. I finally faced my fears early January 2018 weighed myself...GULP! I was 350 pounds! UGH. I decided to go vegan on January 10....that was a big step for me, I`d rather lance a boil than give up meat and dairy!!! But I was determined to get heatlhy, and subsequently lost 30 pounds in a month. Then everything changed. Yes, you guessed it, I saw Joe's "Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead" on Netflix, and I have never been more inspired, nor have I ever found more strength and resolve in myself. I immediately purchased a Breville Juicer and proceeded on my juicing journey, starting February 9, 2018. I have since lost 7 pounds in 3 days, and I am soldiering onward to 60 days. I am stoked!

This group is inspired by all the amazing people I have met in this community who, like me, have or had 100 lbs or more to lose when starting this journey with our wonderful Joe Cross:) There are special challenges in this world for those of us who are "morbidly obese" and there are some incredibly inspirational people around here conquering those challenges every day. Come be inspired and inspiring!
