  • About: I am a happy wife and mom to six beautiful children (my oldest is in college, my youngest is in preschool). I live in a small suburb just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. I own a wedding cake and bakery business that I run from my home. I love creating and enjoying beautiful things and making those around me happy and content.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I have spent the last 21 years focusing on being a great mother and wife, as well as a sister, daughter, neighbor, and friend. I forgot to focus on my health and most often put it last. I have a wonderful life, and much to make me happy. But I am not happy with myself. I want to be better. I want to be more healthy...and after watching both "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" movies, and then "Hungry for Change" I found something that resonated with me. I don't want to diet, I want to improve! I am four days into a 42 day reboot ( I decided I would reboot a day for each of the years I have spent NOT making the healthiest choices.). I feel wonderful already and don't even have the temptation to stop.....this is GOOD for me! I am learning to enjoy most of the juices...and the Pear Pie Delight was so delicious it almost made me cry on Day 3 and gave me the boost to keep going! Juice On!

  • Food temptation? Anything sweet. But right now? None! Juicing has taken all those cravings away =)

    Thank you for the support! You are an inspiration :) I decided to go with the hemp seeds for protein. After researching the powders I realized there is always some kind of stabilizer or thickener or chemical used as with the isolates. I don't fully understand it all but seeds are just that, seeds!

    Day 22 of just juicing....and I. Feel. Great!!! Spending my time converting others to the juicing way of life. My sister got her juicer two days ago and is on a roll! My husband is now drinking my morning juice with me and my father and step-mom are going to add juice in the mornings....and my brother just finished watching the films with his wife and is ordering his juicer today! My neighbor (who is also my primary care physician) is so intrigued by my weight loss he keeps asking questions and wants to learn more about juicing and is looking forward to doing my blood work at the end of this juice reboot. I am down 18 pounds and excited to boost my exercise and add even more to that number this week. Juice on!

    Your doing great! How many times a day do you juice? How do you manage your hemp and chia seeds daily? It is a good feeling to turn others on to juicing. I'm trying to be a good example but I struggle so much with food addiction. I'm prepared to keep trying to get healthy.

    100blueviolets, I do all my juicing for three days at once. It's the only way I can do it and no go crazy. I end up with four to five juices per day to drink. Which is enough for me. The hemp and chia seed I ground together and have in a container. When I add it in to the juice, I use one of my shake bottles to mix it, or throw it in the blender for a bit. is so filling! And a bonus is that the dry skin and cracked fingers is starting to go away. I guess it was the protein that I needed! And I feel your pain with is my answer for everything! But I am finding extra strength and willpower through this journey. It is a huge motivator! You can do it too!
