  • About: Stay at home mom. 6 kids (4 are hungry teenage boys). I come from an ethnic Cuban family and we are international foodies. I LOVE flavorful foods. Its part of my culture and a big part of how we entertain. this juicing thing will be very hard. But I am also a devout catholic and will be doing this as a lenten fast for my spiritual as well as my physical health. Hope this gives me strength to persevere.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I saw the movie (both of them) and I was really inspired. I had a life change in my mid-forties - I remarried and moved to another state. In my first year of marriage I gained 30 pounds on top of the 20 or so that I needed to lose originally. I feel awful. My back hurts all the time, I have no energy and end up on the couch far more than I ever did. A vicious cycle. I have tried dieting - low carb but keep going back to my old habits. I really need a "reboot" of my system and get the energy back so I can exercise and eat right. "Cleanse the Temple" (1 Cor 6:19-20)

Fat Tuesday is right around the corner and I am going to give up food and go juice only this year. It would be great if others wanted to do it as well. Even though this fast is rooted in Catholic traditions you don't have to be Catholic or a Christian to benefit from the effects of juicing for over 40 days. Ash Wednesday is February 18th and according to Google goes until April 2 which is Holy Thursday but i have always waited to end my fast on Easter. Whichever day you choose is your call. Lets all team up and make this our last fat Tuesday of the year!!

Some of us are winding down a reboot, others are in the middle or just beginning their journey. Wherever you are on your path, we're here.
