Happy New Years 2019. Today is Day 4 for me. I felt a little heady yesterday but feeling better today. I started out at 175 and down to 169.2 today. I am a woman of faith so it is important to satisfy and align my scriptures with my life. Daily meditation and encouragement is so important to accomplish my goals. - About: Hi everyone. I am striving to eat a whole food plant-based diet. I've arrived at a point in my life where I will no longer be able to fight off disease eating the Standard American Diet. I am a susceptible person who struggles with boundaries. I keep trying to only eat WFPB but ultimately fail. I return to juicing to kick start the life I want to live. Each attempt I learn more from my peers and my research. I am trying to break a generational cycle of bad habits that lead to obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol.

Hi Gr8greens, What are your exact goals? It helps to set numbers and exact intentions. I failed the first 6 times I didn't get past day 2. I counted those as practice runs. I was successful on my 7th attempt and just finished 92 days of juice only as you saw from the group. Knowing exactly where I was and where I wanted to be helped me me perfect my plan, then tailor it to my needs. A longer fast would help with discipline as well as really letting go of the bad habits, and allow you to make better choices afterwards.

Thank you World Wide for your encouraging words. It shows you really care about others and want to help. I really appreciate that. I wish I understood how juicing longer would help me with my discipline issues in the long run. Guess it's one of those things I won't know until I do it. Happy Autumn! Please join me for a 15 day reboot starting November 1st. Yes, tomorrow! I've done this many times and am happy to share my tips as well as learn from you. My cravings are in full swing for holiday treats already and I need to tame them now!
I juiced for a little over 30 days, and lost about 20 lbs., then sadly slipped back into my old habits for about a week. Well here I go again, I still need to lose another 20lbs and am going to stick to this with the help of others in this community. My family is supportive, but they continue to eat the things I desire. I love them but it can be a strugglre, so I am going to lean on all of you in this community. Thanks ahead of time.

GOAL: Eat to live, not live to eat!
I juiced for 14 days and am ready to switch to juicing all day and eating dinner with my family in the evenings. If I don't keep losing weight it's back to the fasting!
Wow! Day 8! I'm jealous!!! I feel like the time is going by so slow. And with all this energy I have, it goes slower. Ugh! Thanks for your post. I had just commented on how hungry I was and now that I've entertained myself with these posts, it has gone away. Juice on!

This group is for anyone who is striving to eat and drink only plants. We all know that a plant-based whole-foods diet is the healthiest way to eat, a la Drs. Ornish, McDougall, Esselstyn, Furhman, Caldwell, Campbell, etc. It can prevent and even cure many diseases. I have tried a couple times to fully transition to a plant-based whole-foods diet and have not yet succeeded. I am giving it another go and would love to give and receive support from like-minded people. I have watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead," "Forks Over Knives," and other documentaries, and I'm really inspired! Will you join me?

JOIN ME!!! I have a challenge for us... Let's do this for 30 days!! If you fall off just get back up!! But see... We WON'T fall off! Let's prove to ourselves that we are capable of doing this. LET'S BE A TEAM! Let's start living a healthier lifestyle. You even being on this site is already a start. I need some motivation and I can motivate you as well. Let's help eachother out. Let's stop trying and start doing. It may be hard but it isn't impossible. WE can work together and push eachother. On our days when we feel like giving up, let's speak up and seek some words of encouragement. I'm starting today but even if you see this post late, STILL join. I will push you and help you reach your goals. If you're not joining, I would appreciate any advice or any words to motivate or inspire me. I'm on day one and I'm fighting! I'll be posting my recipes and experience day by day until WE reach 30 days. If you stop after 30 days, don't go back to old habits! EAT HEALTHIER and excersice. Do it for your own good. Love yourself enough to make this change. Question for you... Do you want to be happier? Do you want to feel more energy? Live longer? Be able to do things you were never able to? THEN START TODAY AND SEE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE. I know you want to look into the mirror and see a difference for once. Trust yourself and give this your all. Change begins with YOU. Remember that hard work pays off and great things require hard work. Btw, a BIG thanks to Joe! You helped me start TODAY and stop making excuses.
