Hi Marscha, I am doing great. I am on a break from Juice Fasting for a month and will be back soon ...

Faraz, thanks for the encouragement. Everyone around me gives me funny looks when I say I plan to do a juice fast for 10 days. Now I understand why. I can't even go one day without cheating.

Christy - Thats why we need the company of our fellow re-booters here! Its very important because we are surrounded with nay sayers and people have no idea about juicing and will try to put it down. Here is what I do:

Make a list of reasons you are juicing and print it out and stick it all over your house. When you feel weak and wanna quit, look at the list, this will keep you going.

Another important thing during a reboot is to make sure you are drinking enough juices (4-6 16-20 ounces bottles), coconut water and 8-12 glasses of water everyday. If you are drinking that many juices you will not be hungry.

    All the best! JUICE ON!

I had soup and such like I did last night and I'm on my last frozen backup juice. I started before payday so now I'm debating between buying like a bag of apples and kale and super budget juice or juice and eat until I can restock the right way.

  • Faraz

I would say do your best and stick to as much juicing as possible. Once you go back to SAD, its hard to get back and then have to go through the detox symptoms again.... All the best!

  • NikkiG120

cool thing is I had not detox symptoms this time. I did some water and juice fast last month which I guess helped. But you are right. I'll try to restart tomorrow. Ill get two bags of apples and some greens.

Oh! I am in Denver. I have a lot of produce and could have given it to you if you were here.... I usually shop at Costco... I get big organic bag of spinach and kale that last several days. Also organic carrots, strawberries etc... Other stuff I get from a local H Mart store and a persian grocery market called Arash which is very reasonable. It doesnt cost a lot if u look around for deals and shop.

I do Aldi's when I have to. It's not bad, but I just don't want to keep buying what I can rather than what I need. I'll be good by next Wed. Can I bother you with my re reboot post then? :) Thank you for being kind.

Day 3 of Juice Fast! Excited!

I had my lemon water and apple ginger shot. Also made some good juices due to yesterday's adventure of spoilt juices. I made an apple orange, Beet, Apple, Celery, Carrot, and mean green. Hope today goes well without any cheating!

Yesterday went ok, i made the green juices and something wasnt right, I think the greens had gone bad and the taste was weird. It was hard for me to drink anymore. I think I only had 1 juice. Again cheated yesterday and ate. I don't understand why this time is so hard for me. I need to get serious!!!

So how is everyone else doing on their Juice Journey??? Juice On Folks!!!

How are you keeping yourself motivated and educating yourself on Juicing during Reboot?

Folks, here is what I am doing to make this juice fast successful. Please share your ideas as well!

    1. I have joined the 92 days nutrition course on Juicing:

    http://juicefeast.com/login

This course is designed very well and they unlock everyday for you as you progress on your juice fast. There is a ton of useful information that you learn during your reboot

    2. I have joined Jay Kordich’s School of Juicing:

    http://www.schoolofjuicing.com/sp/7048-school-of-juicing

4 week modular program from Jay and Linda Kordich. Jay is the pioneer of juicing and has tons of knowledge to share.

    3. I listen to Juicing Radio Podcast while commuting every day.

    http://juicingradio.com/

Angie and Shane (The Hosts) have juiced themselves and interview people on their podcast who had juiced successfully. It is very informative and motivational. There are tons of podcasts available on juicing radio and its free!

    4. Rebootwithjoe community.

Folks, this is very helpful, Reading everyone's experience, challenges, comments, advices etc is the most motivating thing I find in my journey. The biggest challenge we find is the negative advise we get from people around us on juicing. Everyone here is going through the same and have each other to support, advise and motivate. This is a big deal!

    5. Watching a Juicing Documentary Every day.

Needless to say, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead is what got most of us started. Watching it along with 100's of other informational and motivational documentaries will help to keep us going. Other than this also read and watch success stories from rebooters.

Here are some of the documentaries I have listed which I will be watching everyday during my reboot:

    FSND

    FSND2

    Super Juice Me

    Folks Over Knives

    Vegucated

    I am Frank

    Food Inc

    Hungry for Change

    Super Size Me

    Fed up

I have never been able to day a long juice fast in the past. I always start hoping to do a 30 days or longer, but break the fast on day 7 or so and go back to my bad eating habits….. This time I am doing everything possible to make it a success and I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

    JUICE ON!!!

love all the options you give yourself. That can only mean success. I'm inspired to ramp up my library of options as I do this reboot.

    thx,

Wow! I've watched about all those except I am Frank. Those documentaries definitely help keep me focused! Keep up the good work and juice on!

Day 2 of Juice Fast! Excited! Lost 4 lbs in 1 Day!!!

After waking up, I checked my weight! It was 233.8 lbs.I lost 4 lbs....down from 237.8 lbs.

Yesterday I got a bad headache. It just didnt go away no matter what, it started at around 2:30 pm and I was suffering till I went to bed. Oh well, I also cheated a bit to make my headache go away. But when I woke up this morning felt a lot better! I think I have been drinking tea and coffee lately and its the caffeine withdrawal kicking in.

Anyway, I had my lemon water in warm water, followed by a apple ginger juice and made 2 more juices to go... (Apple, Greens, Celery, ginger and carrots), have 1 mean green from yesterday. The headache did not allow me to get coconut water and other fruits and veggies yesterday. Hope to get them today after work!!

So how is everyone else doing on their Juice Journey??? Juice On Folks!!!

Hi, my name is Kate (aka katiejay/kate.the.warrior). I began adding juice to my life April 9, 2013. Since then, I've lost approximately 170 pounds, have been the featured member twice, a featured success story and am in Joe's new book. Life is radically different. I no longer hide in the shadows. Your reboot can be of any duration from 5 days to 100+. It can be 100% juice or modified juicing with plant-based eating on the side...whatever keeps you going. I do have one request... NO FOOD TALK...it can throw someone off track on a particularly difficult day. We don't need to hear about what you ate, wanted to eat or dreamt of eating. I'd suggest that you try to keep from weighing too often...if you're having a good day - have a good day. Don't let a number dictate whether you feel victorious or defeated. You can join whenever you want....just don't quit and never give up! Sometimes we win & sometimes we learn. "Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible. Suddenly you're doing the IMPOSSIBLE." St. Francis of Assisi

My weight has fluctuated most of my life, from 130-170 lbs. I thought I had it under control when I maintained my weight at 140 give or take 5 lbs. for the last few years. But then Christmas happened, then I went back to school, then I couldn't find work and I turned to food for comfort and 20 lbs packed on in 5 months. More than that I was feeling crappy. Also I kept planning on doing something sustained about it but kept having one more "last supper". Then bring on the guilt of doing this to myself again. Is there anyone else out there who is in the same boat?

We are all together in this journey to make the best out of our life and health. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GANG!!! JUICE ON!!!
