• About: I have had fibromyalgia for over 20 years. Arthritis in my back due to car accidents. I went Vegan for my husband who had a brain tumor removed. By going vegan, sugar free and gluten free the 5% of his brain tumor that was left in due to location disappeared. Even the oncologist was happy we made those changes. We didn't know how rare that was when we first made all the changes. But I hated veggies so this was hard. My father use to say I didn't like anything good for me. So after 3 years I started eating cheese and some meat when we went out to eat. At that time I didn't know about the casein in the dairy and cheese that can start the sugar cravings. So I was also eating a lot of sugar. Then we moved from Chicago to Texas and crazy things have happened. My Dad had to be put in a nursing home after breaking his foot. I broke my ankle on both sides and had to have surgery with lots of hardware. I had just finishing therapy for my back when I broke my ankle. So I started putting on even more weight. We have completed a 50 day juice reboot. Now we are eating a plant based vegan diet and loving it. My taste buds have changed and I like my veggies. It is a miracle.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I broke my ankle in 2 places and had surgery this summer and have gotten inactive. I have gained a lot of weight. I feel better when I eat vegan. I want to learn to like the taste of veggies if that is possible. So instead of my husband and I giving each other gifts for our 30th wedding anniversary we decided to give each other good health. So on January 1st we started our Juice only reboot.

This is a group for vegetable hating Rebooters to share recipes you can live with and maybe even love. It is January 2016 and I'm JUST starting my reboot. I have NEVER liked vegetables and have spent my whole life avoiding them. I know at this age I really need to get serious about nutrition -- for my health, my weight, and my very life. I will share what I find works for me and hope you will do the same. Thanks for joining me in this quest and sharing your discoveries!
