I am in the pre-juicing week and will start juicing Saturday (I figured by the time I go back to work on Tuesday, I will have adjusted.) But I was so excited that I thought I would try some of the items on the plans list.

    Herbal tea, great!
    Veggies, great!
    Coconut water.....not so much!

I tried O.N.E. brand of coconut water at mid-morning and I am still tasting it at 5:00pm. Last night I put it in the fridge and when I drank it today I had it over ice. Since then I have done some research and found there are better tasting coconut water out there, but now my gag reflex kicks in when I think about putting any more down my throat!

    HELP!

Are there any rebooters out there that work in a restaurant or country club out there? We have a few extra challenges as we see and smell food while at work.

I work at a golf country club here in the US. I am the receptionist. I can smell the lunchtime buffet all the way down the hall. I gained an additional 50 pounds the first year I worked here (on top of the 150 pounds extra I carried) making my total needing to lose 200 pounds!!!! The food here at work is so rich in butter, cream and lard and tastes so good! Their mashed potatoes, souffles, fried chicken, etc. is the best ever! And we are allowed 1 free meal a day!

I am on day 4 of my reboot, having done a pre-reboot last week. I have already lost 3 inches in my waist, so I know it is working. I had already quit smoking cigarettes and drinking all forms of caffeine (including soda.)

I make hippie jewelry in my spare time. Since I started my reboot on a Saturday, I was able to relax and work my polymer clay and hemp braid-work. In between trips to the bathroom, I made myself a bracelet using clay beads I created especially to remind myself of the commitment I made to become a healthier person. For my clay beads I used the meal colors, Green, Red, Orange and Purple. I created mosaic clay canes, wrapping them in silver to remind me to look to the silver lining as I try to overcome my gag reflex in order to drink these juices.

To be honest, all of these juices make me gag. The smell of fresh uncooked veggies has always sickened me. Not sure why. But I am working to overcome that reflex and I am fully expecting to be able to drink the Mean Green juice without pausing to meditate after each sip.

Back to work, I make all of the a la carte menus and food labels for different buffets and just typing food words makes me sick right now. Going through the restaurant kitchen is not easy.

How are you dealing with your reboot at work?

P.S. On my smart phone, I used to play restaurant and bakery stories, but I have deleted them as they too make me sick right now.
