• About: Hi I'm Elizabeth I am an artist . I have a wonderful fiancé and three dogs that keep me busy. I am on and off eating really healthy and then over indulging joined with cocktails. My fiancé and I love to cook / drink together and go out occasionally. We cook healthy together for a while, then we don't. I am also very addicted to Dr. Oz and trying everything recommended for health. Life is Good but it is time to get healthy and stay healthy !
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I have always been athletic. Running was my peace and my release. Seven years ago I had to stop running due to back trouble and severe sciatic nerve pain. I have yo-yoed up & down struggling to find balance. My photo is my from three years ago. I was eating a lot of veggies & practicing yoga. (This is my goal to get to again) Since then I have gained a nasty thirty pounds. I was very inspired by Joe's journey and I'm ready to reboot.

Just received the reboot with Joe juice diet book. I'm staring to read it at this moment . I need to start another reboot & follow through . So far 25 days was my longest with out any food. I have started others and done very well but mixed them all with eating . We hiked and had juice & split a healthy veggie -egg white scramble with Jim. I'm going to a nice vegan lunch in a few hours with a friend . I need another detox-cleanse. I'm starting this week !!

Hi Elizabeth---How are you and Jim?.........I'm getting closer to purchasing that food dehydrator.......Still juicing like a fiend and loving every ounce of it. Not sure if I shared with you or not; but our daughter is weaning her little one from nursing.......and.......will move full speed ahead. She has been supplementing her food intake with juice for a couple months now and in the juicing groove. She's so excited!!!.....Love the pictures! A lovely and happy couple for sure. Happy juicing to you! ~IZzi~

Hi Elizabeth----Great to hear from ya'!!! How's the juicing going for you? Any new favorites? We tossed in an orange bell pepper the other day; had forgotten how good that tasted. As you have guessed, still pluggin' away to the new, healtier me. We've also been investigating the use of the food dehydrator. Our daughter and son-in-law have one tucked away, so we get to borrow it when the time is "right"....Skiing sounds like fun and a vigorous work-out, not to mention the trail running. Enjoy life...enjoy life...Have you received any rain in your area lately? How are the freggie sources out there now with the drought? Catch ya' later dear. Check in when you can. All th Best.

We are in Whistler Canada on vacation for 9 days. Jim is a very good snowboarder. I ski a little but I am athletic enough that everyone I have ever been skiiing with throws me on the steep scary blue runs every time. I vowed this time I will not let anyone convince me off the green runs. No blues this time for me!! Slow and steady all the way! Green is good, right?

I called ahead to see if I needed to bring my juicer to the hotel or if a juice bar was close by. They assured me on the phone that they had a few juice bars close. Also said I was not allowed to bring an appliance in the room. I laughed to myself because I bring a blow dryer and I have a quiet masticating juicer, no one would know or stop me but I trusted her.

We ventured to the juice bar early in the morning before my ski lesson, CLOSED! No morning juice here! I was a bit irritated and blabbed to Jim how I will trust myself from this day on... how can I take my ski lesson without juice? It was also quite a hike from the hotel but a good warm up before my lesson and with the dogs. I could have been more prepared or called ahead as soon as we got in. I blame myself a little.

I took my ski lesson with a pro to brush up (its been four years) and he pushed me way too far. I did ask to stay on the green runs but he assured me I was ready for the blues and the green crosses over/through the blue. Ummmm.... a few icy crashes later and I was beat up. (hit my head and have a bit of whiplash) I'm not wanting to go back on the slopes at all. I'm walking my doggies all over the village and enjoying the beautiful trails. I do not want to pull or hurt anything.

I don't think I have mentioned, during hiking with our dogs, Jim and I have started trail running mixed in with our hikes, this is a dream come true for me. Juicing and yoga have gotten my body back so so far I cannot be happier. Also, I think my neck would be broken from my crash.

We returned to the juice bar in the late afternoon, really nice girl. We talked juicing for a long time and she sent me back to my hotel with juice in glass jars to go, for my fridge. I have been back everyday. I would like at least three a day but have managed with one to two. A little disappointed with the four seasons whistler for planting that seed over the phone. However, we are able to bring our doggies and that is everything!!!

I just looked up Joe's tour to see if he might be in the area, we keep meeting so many australians. No go..... Maybe I will catch him when he tours San Diego.

Whistler is beautiful! Can't wait to reboot hard when I get home. JUICE ON!!

I have decided to do a new fifteen day reboot. Today is day 1.

I have been doing pretty well since my last reboot. Jim & I have both incorporate juice two to three times daily. We usually juice breakfast, eat a healthy lunch and then juice dinner. (I have an extra additional juice throughout the day) We are still waking up before dawn and hiking at sunrise with our dogs. We both have fit bits and are tracking our steps. I am going to yoga almost every to every other day. We by far are not perfect, we have gone out for dinners & drinks and snacked on football sundays but we get right back on it the next day. I feel great. We are headed to whistler in a few weeks skiing & snowboarding. I feel I need to do this reboot for many reasons before I hit the slopes. It's only day 1 and I do feel the mental part of not eating, toying with my mind already! I really enjoy everyone who shares thoughts and appreciate the support . Juice on !

Thanks for your interest and support. My intention is to create a group that goes beyond a classic 3/10/15/30/60 day reboot regimen into a reboot juicing/eating lifestyle shift. No need to re-gain pounds and re-do hard-earned rebooting efforts. I have reversed all disease, diabetes, chronic ailments, and have maintained and sustained a 150 pound weight loss with Daily Reboot Green & Rainbow Vegetable Juicing and a Plant-Based WholeFood eating lifestyle. (WFPB - means whole food plant-based ingredients, plant-based foods as close to their natural state as possible). . Please see the original feature at Reboot with Joe success profile at: http://bit.ly/1czS3JJ .

And the Two Year Anniversary Success Profile at: http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/reboot-success-story-dan-miller/

There is also some behind the scenes footage, a video testimonial and a Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead commercial spot to view at ---> http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/rebooting/dan-miller/

I completely understand and empathize where you all might be coming from - I have so been there and done that. The hardest part is just making the decision to commit to your self. It seems that once you make the decision to overcome confusing eating habits and make a change....the quick results and new found energy pumps you up to follow through, prevail and find success.

After watching my beloved Joe Cross & personal saviour Phil Staples in www.fatsickandnearlydead.com and with further reading of Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live", "The China Study and WHOLE" by T. Colin Campbell and, watching the recommended "Forks Over Knives' documentary, I discovered that eating plant-based wholefoods and drinking green vegetable juices will in fact aid you to overcome highly addictive hyper-palatable foods like animal-derived products, dairy, fats & sugar and to overcome poor eating habits like; the excessive consumption of animal protein products, oil & cholesterol, refined sugar, high sodium and other nutrient deficient junk food, all which led to my obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and my wife's battle with osteo-arthritis and auto-immune diseases.

Be sure to review all the posts below starting on page one through to the present... there are videos, viewpoints, comments, pictures and links to aid you in your personal journey to lose weight and gain optimum health with Reboot Vegetable Juicing and a Plant-Based WholeFoodist attitude. I could make a number of suggestions while undertaking a reboot juice feast regimen or simply incorporating more fruits & veggies (whether juiced, blended or eaten whole) into your daily meal planning. First of all – Be Kind to Your Self! It took many years and lots of poor food choices to become overweight – It will take some time to lose it. Your body must be allowed to come into balance with phytonutrient dense plant-based foods. There will be plateaus during your weight loss journey – you’ll think nothing is happening, but it is. ************Avoid the scale to avoid disillusionment.......... Clean out your pantry to avoid temptation.****************

The weight will come off with reboot vegetable juicing and a plant-based food choice – but must be allowed to integrate and work with your level of conscious nutrition.

Free yourself from added eating stress and change the way you approach it. Forget dieting and just start a process of "Incorporating ~ Eliminating". Start incorporating a larger quantity of (cooked or raw, juiced or blended) plant-based whole foods like: green and rainbow color fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans-peas-legumes, nuts & seeds . Start eliminating and weeding out the SAD diet foods like: drive-through junk & hyperpalatable fast food, animal products (meats, seafood, shellfish, eggs), animal-derived products (dairy, butter, cheese, ice cream, whey, casein, lard), oil fat/sugar/sodium-laden processed, refined and packaged foods. .........>There is over 40 years of research supporting that a WholeFood–PlantBased (WFPB) eating lifestyle will rejuvenate & regenerate your whole body, will alleviate chronic annoying symptoms, and reverses degenerative diseases like: obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Reboot Juicing is a tool to discover and compliments a shift to including more plants into your daily eating habit.

------> Not only is plant-based whole foods the healthiest way of eating that has ever been studied, but it’s far more effective in promoting health and preventing disease than prescription drugs, surgery, vitamin and herbal supplementation, and genetic manipulation. A PlantBased Reboot Juicing lifestyle entails; No counting calories, No drowning in minutiae about what to eat or what not to eat --- just simplify and make wise health-promoting choices........ DRINK Vegetable Juices & EAT Plants!

This group is open to all exploring extreme weight loss with reboot vegetable juices and incorporating more plant-based nutrition. I have found that combining Reboot Juicing with a Plant-based whole food eating lifestyle has worked for extreme sustained weight loss and achieving optimum health - the results have been phenomenal.
