  • About: I'm Canadian (of Azorean descent), 52 years old, 5'2" tall and approximately 260 lbs (as of my last surgical hospitalization in October 2014), I have been obese all of my life - I was over 9 lbs at birth - poor Mum!. I am on Disability as of 5 years ago, but prior to that I was a medical clerk in a hospital for many years...so now I lead a mostly sedentary lifestyle. My talents lie in sedentary areas - the fibre arts. I'm an avid spinner - both on hand spindles and spinning wheels (not a typo - I have several of both types, hence 'avid'!), I knit, crochet, rug hook, cross-stitch and do needlepoint and embroidery work. I like to do these things while watching films - mostly documentaries, historical pieces, and of course LOTR. I also love water - being near it, on it or in it.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I found Joe's films on Netflix last night and became intrigued...so much so that I watched both of them back-to-back. They have inspired me to make a realistic but drastic change in my life. So much so that I ordered a juicer today! I have mental health issues including Dysthemia, CPTSD, S.A.D., anxiety disorder and BPD, as well as physical issues including chronic back, hip and knee pain, nerve damage in both hands and right shoulder, hypertension, fatty liver, gout, IBS, sleep apnea and auto-immune induced hair loss and bad skin...many of these, I am sure, are due to my poor eating habits and obesity.
  • Favorite Juice? Don't know yet - can't wait to try them all!
  • Food temptation? Italian food, Asian food, sweets and coffee

A group created for those of us caught in the toxic triangle of depression. A place where we can go to get help and information by talking to others that are going through the same thing. We all want out of it but the hardest thing for us to do is start somewhere. Well, you've come to the right place. Not only is a juice reboot the answer to overeating and overdrinking but it will help to get you in the right frame of mind to stop the overthinking (ruminating). It doesn't just reboot your body - it Reboots Your Life!

Health and Weight issues specific to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ or GLBTQ) is a new and exciting field emerging within the health promotion, research, and medical fields. The concerns and health needs of LGBTQ are often unique, and their experiences with weight, health and health care are often different than that of their heterosexual peers. Join my group and let's "Juice On" as a unique community! Hugs, Nick Oddo (www.TenStudioHill.com)
