April 6th/17 -It's now about two weeks since I did my juice reboot. Still drinking water and lemon every morning. Still drinking water, tomato juice, coconut water and my tea. Dinner consists of a can of chicken rice soup( watered down) and four Ritz crackers. It's good for me. I have lost 8 lbs. That's a nice bonus. I am learning so much about different foods and how to eat healthier. Can't wait to move to my new apt. so I can get serious about eating well. I now have a mixer so that I can make smoothies. I have also bought several products from the shopping channel by Curtis Stone. From the looks of it , it may be possible that even I can learn to cook using his products. I bought a steamer that is small and fits on several of his products which I can use to steam different foods. I have been watching Martha Stewart on tv and on youtube along with other cooks. Some of it looks very complicated but some other things look like something I could attempt. I hope so.

Well it's the 6th and final day of my juice reboot. All is going well. I bought some new cookware online yesterday so there will be no excuse not to expand my cooking abilities ( or lack thereof). I probably won't even take the new cookware out of their boxes because I am moving in a month and a half. I am very excited about that.

Everyone on this website has been very helpful. My thanks for all the encouraging words. I plan to continue juicing a couple of days or more a week ,once I get settled into my new place. All for now. :)

Day 4 of juice reboot is over. I drank 85.5 oz of liquids. I was able to take the liquids in a little faster today. My dog Bailey was pissed off with me being on the internet so much that I put him in my lap while I typed. He has fallen asleep there. :) Poor boy, nothing for him to eat off my plate since I began the reboot. For the past two day I have been having a bowl of chicken rice soup after I finish juicing for the day. Guess I just need to chew something.

I weigh myself twice a day. First, just after I wake up and have a pee and then again at 5 pm. There is usually a 2 to 3 lb. weight increase from the morning to the afternoon. Anyone know why that would happen ?I am looking to what to eat after I stop the reboot. I know I have to take that slowly. All for now. Have a good week everyone. :)

Hi all. I am now into day 4. It is going really well. I can't believe that by adding one Navel orange to a mostly veggie meal that it makes it enjoyable to drink. Yahoo.I still have some more fruits and veggies left so I may be able to do one more day of juicing. I will check it out tomorrow. If not then I'm done with the reboot. :)

Day 3 of 3 day reboot is over. Drank 101.5 oz of liquids. No side affects. I still have some fruit and veggies left over so if I can make something out of it tomorrow then I will continue to juice tomorrow until the food runs out. Have a great Sunday everyone.

I forgot to mention that I ordered a blender so that I will be able to make smoothies. I have never had a smoothy but they sound very tasty . :)

Day 2 of 3 day reboot is over. I drank 85.5 oz of liquids. No side affects. That's not important. What is important is that last night while lying in bed a thought about my eating habits crystalized in my mind. I do not have a problem with food and I never have. For over 50 years I have eaten only one meal a day, dinner and I don't stuff myself with whatever the food is that I am having for dinner. One of my problems is that I eat the wrong kind of food for dinner. The other problem is that I smoke, put lots of sugar in my tea ( all day long I drink tea) and I drank at least one coke a day. Since coming to this website I have dropped my # of sugars in my tea from 6 heaping teaspoons to three heaping teaspoons per cup. My tea cup is equal to the size of a Tim Horton's small coffee cup. I haven't had ANY coke in over a week and I don't miss it. I have been drinking water with the salads I was eating last week. BUT, one can NOT live by salads alone ( at least I can't). Another problem is that I don't know hardly anything about good foods to eat or how to cook them. I am currently working on that. I gained weight in the last 1 1/2 years because I retired and I was doing NOTHING about being active. I was just revelling in the fact that I was retired. Other than being newly overweight , my health is excellent and always has been. ( thank God or good genes) I realize now that doing a juice reboot is not what I need to be doing. I need to be eating good food when I eat dinner and I need to stop smoking. ( when the smoking goes ,so does the tea). Since I committed to myself to do a three day reboot ,I will finish my 3rd day tomorrow. After that I will continue to have hot water with lemon every morning and drink coconut water a couple of times a day. I will also juice a couple of times a week. I figure it will take me AT LEAST six months of working on getting rid of my extra weight. That's fine with me.

I want to thank everyone who has offered me encouragement and advice. You are all obviously very caring people. I am not leaving this website. I still need your help to eat right and to juice properly. I wish everyone the best of luck in becoming the best they can be !

Well day one of the reboot is over. Successful ? I'm not sure, but I took in 88 oz of liquids. I learned that red beets are NOT something my body likes. Will see if I can take the liquids in a little faster than I did today, but I am not going to push it. I don't like feeling stuffed.

Well yesterday was a totally BAD day. I didn't just fall off the rails I jumped into a bucket of water from a 100 foot high diving board. I won't go into the grubby details because that was yesterday and today is a new day. I have some bad news. I decided last night that on thursday I was going to try a 3 day juice reboot. I bought everything that was needed. Unfortunately the cost was approx. $ 72.00 which is far too much for me as I am a senior and on a limited budget. So that puts an end to my doing a 15 day juice reboot for now. I will continue with hot water and a slice of lemon as well as coconut water with occasional juice days only. I will also eat better foods. Because of the research I have done for the juice reboot I had planned to do I have learned how to eat better. When money situation gets better I intend to do a 15 day juice reboot but that won't be for quite a while yet. I will let you know how the 3 day reboot is going. :)

Two pieces of advice, one buy in bulk from the Farmers markets, they sell boxses and good prices. Google for your area. Number two try the "Warrior Diet" You eat less and it releases tons of HGH in the blood stream which as you get older is really the fountain of youth. If Warrior is to hard, try any of the intermitenet fasting styles.

Today is Tuesday Mar.21st. I decided that today I would try the day one reboot in the 3 day reboot in Joe's book. It's only one pm but I realize now why it's important to prepare some portions the night before. I am just now starting the mid morning snack of coconut water. I am behind because I had to go to the store to get one of the items I needed for today. It should be a fun day.
