Hi Dubliner! I just found your bio, and we have a few things in common, yay! I am in my fifties...55 to be exact, married with 3 children. I work for our local children's hospital as a parent liaison in the ICU. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 20 years ago, after the birth of my third child, and have struggled with weight ever since. I am 5' 3.5, barely, and 135 is my goal, too. We can do this! - Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years ago And I am now 190lbs / I am 5'4" - I would like to get back to 135lbs - I want to detox and start a healthy life style so I can have More energy, get my figure back, and take part in fun 5K races with my kids and my husband. I am very ashamed of my weight- I look and feel older than my 52 years. I have been living a sedentary unhealthy lifestyle and using my hypothyroidism as an excuse for inactivity and obesity - I want to take care of my health and the health Of my family- I want to eat to live instead of living to eat

Hi Dubliner!!! I have just downloaded the Couch To 5k. I am glad you are doing it too. When are you going to start that? We can encourage each other with that part.
Hey Dubliner, good luck tomorrow, and don't worry about the hypothyroid, we still get lots of success on Reboots even when the thyroid is sluggish. Not too much Kale, though, add spinach to Joe's mean green instead and only have Kale raw maybe 3 times a week.
Thank you, I am excited to get started, I have be weaning off of caffeine, salt and sugar for 10 days and feel great and have last 10lbs already so I am very optimistic about this challenge, seems like a lovely group too.
