Last post was one month ago, the day of the CF event. I fell off the wagon for a month. I'm back on and currently on day 7 with a 8.4lb weight loss. Boom.

day 40, I'm still alive and 26 pounds less than I was on day 1. I've been busy with coordinating a two-day fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. Today was day 1 and everything went very well.

    Day 28. 22.9 pounds down.

I purchased protein powder for juice & will incorporate more exercise starting today. I found the mix was too gritty, so I'll be making a protein powder shot & not putting in my juice.

    Happy Sunday

    Day 23. 20.7 pounds down.

After two weeks of eating cereal (voluntarily) so I wouldn't be bothered by the smell of food, the boyfriend busted out the Mac & Cheese tonight. Buttface.

Oh well, I must overcome my temptations. The amount of support he has given me through all of this is incredible.

P.S. If anyone stumbles upon a juice recipe that tastes like Mac & Cheese.....

    My share for 9/21/15:

Two people contacted me over the weekend to find out more about juicing. One bought a juicer from a yard sale (the one who swore she would not diet & would eat Cheetos until the day she died, happy.) The other called and said "I did it! I bought fruits & veggies and want to start tomorrow. Can I use my Vita-mix?"

I told them about us. Our community & wealth of information. No pyramid schemes, no charge, no subscriptions, - just support & answers to a variety of questions.

DOODAH - wazzap, girl? How's it going? I just want to say how much I love your post to me about not sucking at life. I've read it a few times now and I laugh every time. Thanks for being you.

ALSO - so you have this retro look going on, very 40s/50s glamour pinup thing. I have been trying to master that for years. I have the face for it but can't get the hair to cooperate, despite buying several pictorial books on the subject (true story!). How do you pull it off?

Thank you, TexasT! I am looking for the video that taught me how :) -I will be back with the link.

I have very fine/thin hair & this method works every time without falling flat.

I have fine but thick hair- exasperating combination. So much great hair that just lays there and refuses to do anything under its own weight. Maddening!

I started juicing on August 31st, 2015. I live in a glorious rural town where there isn't any fast food (I know, I got lucky lol). I am headed to town today for a 5k Mud Factor run that takes place on Sunday. Heading to town for me involves travelling for 4 hours and staying in a hotel for the next couple of days.

I am posting this because I actually thought about bending my commitment the other night. Just one time, then I would get back on the wagon. ......lame sauce...... I decided to search for a reason not too on the internet & boom; here you all are! Struggling with exactly the same thing that I am.

What I have done to prepare myself for the next couple days in town with temptation. 1. Join a group 2. Be honest with myself & keep fighting temptation 3. I purchased a compact juicer, so I don't have to take the big mamojama to the hotel with me 4. Find juice joints & save the directions - just in case we are out & "get too busy to head back to the hotel for juice" lol 5. Love the way that I feel when I am strong 6. Believe that I have it in me, to conquer what makes me overweight 7. Ask for motivation when I need it 8. No matter what. Ask for motivation. when. I. need. it.

I can do this. I am going in the kitchen to prepare my juice for the day & pack the remainder of fruits & veggies in my fridge for the road. .....sigh..... 16 pounds lost, less of a double chin & I feel wonderful. I know why I started, I just have to keep going. I am invited to dinner tonight at a real restaurant (we don't have them where I live) & guess what bold move I will be doing? Bringing my own dinner - Gazpacho juice, and drinking it right at the table.

Ready to get rid of all that extra weight and junk we packed on during the holidays? I started and led a successful 15-Day Reboot this past January, which the group extended to 30 days. We'll do the same here: start with a standard 15-Day Reboot, and then extend if desired by the group, or not. I log in each and every day and offer my support to any of you who are new or struggling. You are guaranteed daily support if you join this group! Experienced Rebooters can also experience success and good times on your Reboot, so join in!
