    im new on day 5 so far have lost 8 lbs but have done this before with hcg diet where the weight comes right back. But this is good because lots of nutrition however one day i was hungry and there was an extra burned steak just sitting there i ate it and found it didnt affect my juice fast at all so question. What is wrong with a little protien every few days?

    Honestly I would ask the nutritionist or one of the more experienced juicers on here. They can give you a much more detailed explanation. The whole purpose of the reboot is to give your digestive system a break so the body can use that energy to fix other issues your body might be having. The amount of energy that goes into breaking down a steak kind of defeats the purpose. Not to say you should starve yourself or be discouraged by a moment of weakness. If you had to have that steak I hope you enjoyed it. Just go back to your juicing routine the next day and keep it moving. I find a good way to resist temptations is to drink a lot of water and when you feel like you have to have that piece of meat, try drinking some juice first. Bottom line, don't give up. Good luck on your journey.
