Has anyone used chia seeds in their juices? Is it recommended or frowned upon? I would like to use them for more protein. What are your thoughts on chia seeds?

  • Benefits of a 30 day VS a 60 reboot.

Does a 30 day reboot do the same cleaning you out as a 60 day reboot?

Other than losing more weight on a 60 day what's the difference of doing a 30 day vs a 60 day? (Other than doing 30 days more)

I am on day 28 of 60. I am prepared to go 60 to lose the weight but is it any different than a 30 day?

Well, I just ate my first meal after doing a 60 juice reboot. I finished the 60 days on Mar. 15th and today was my 1st day with juicing and one meal.

BTW I lost a total of 37 pounds which is .62 pounds a day just a little over a half pound a day. I want to THANK everyone that has followed my juice journey this past 60 days. It is what kept me honest and help me stay with it. So, THANK YOU ALL.

My meal today was a salad that consists of:
    1 large English cucumber
    1/2 yellow pepper
    1/2 red pepper
    2 celery stalks
    1/2 red onion
2 cups chopped olives with pimentos
    1/4 cup feta cheese
    1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
    I added this to it:
    a few water chestnuts
    some sprouts sprinkled on top
    iceberg lettuce

This will make about 6 servings. I found this on http://grillinnchillinrecipes.com/sides.html a couple of others that also did the 60 day reboot.

My first meal did not disappoint me. I chewed each bite between 40-50 times. Never did that in my life for the whole meal. It lasted 16 minutes instead of the 3 minutes it usually lasts for my meals. I still need to work on this part.

This group is inspired by all the amazing people I have met in this community who, like me, have or had 100 lbs or more to lose when starting this journey with our wonderful Joe Cross:) There are special challenges in this world for those of us who are "morbidly obese" and there are some incredibly inspirational people around here conquering those challenges every day. Come be inspired and inspiring!

  • Reboot for the month of April. NO "FOOD TALK"

Let's start spring with a swift kick and do a reboot for the month of April. Our group began in March; some started and some left...but many stayed. This group is for anyone who wants to do a full juice fast. That means no solids are eaten OR talked about. If you feel that you need to be eating while juicing, there are other groups that have that as their focus. If you slip while on your reboot, just tell us that you slipped without going into specifics...and continue on. "Start by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible. Suddenly you're doing the impossible." St. Francis of Assisi
