  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I am just tired of the extra weight. Have been juicing for a while but still over eat and then go through periodic binges. My new years resolution this time is to get with the program. I started going back to the gym in addition to my dance classes and hope to add some walking to that. I was so inspired with Joe and Phil when I first sat Fat, Sick and Nearly dead and started juicing. However, I was still eating and the juicing added calories. I think I need to be connected to a group and be accountable for my actions. I think this will help. Fortunately i have been active enough with life and am not on medication but this is a slippery slope and I know the weight has to go.
  • Favorite Juice? Carrot, apple, ginger
  • Food temptation? Sweets of course

    You are amazing Mary, 22 days, congratulations. I find it a great miracle that so many people are taking up this lifestyle change and are succeeding! I am truly inspired, and will continue on too...day 2 for me and still on food, and very foggy today!!! Won't stop though.

    wow great to be starting on the 2nd reboot! Let me know how the protein powder tastes in the juices. I have been too chicken to put it in a juice, that is why I make one smoothie a day. The rest of the day is juice. Juice on!

    I hope things are going well for you. Your strategy sounds like a winner to me. The positive feedback is something that all of us need. Is it commonplace for all people carrying extra weight around to have low self esteem? I know I have battled that my whole life, and I admit that I have been a food addict. I love to cook and I love to eat, and that is the vicious cycle that I am trying to break with this reboot. I just completed Day 22 and it feels SO GOOD to have my clothes hanging much looser than they did when I started. I was literally stuffed into them before, so that is a wonderful feeling - better than the feeling I ever got from a certain food in my mouth - so I hope I can always tell myself that. I think winning the mental battle is the key to any lasting weight loss and I truly hope that all of us can win that battle. Juice on!

    Well I made it through I will be ending Reboot #1 and beginning Reboot #2 all in the same day. I can't believe I have been doing this for 15 days. I am so excited to be carrying 11 fewer pounds so needless to say I must juice on. I bet Day 22 feels great. Sounds like you have won the mental battle. It's one heck of a journey but this website is the greatest. Really nice people, great words of encouragement etc. Just blown away by the whole experience. I'll be adding a little protein to my juices starting tomorrow but that will be the only change. Looking forward to juicing, juicing, juicing!!!

    I am happy to say that I had a great first day. My intention is to reboot my mind along with my body. So what does that mean to me? Let me share this...I took some selfies last night and for the first time in years I really looked at my body and that alone motivated me to go forward with this. I may be able to share a before and after picture as time goes on. So to reboot my mind I will only say positive things to myself as much as possible. When I feel I have to grab food I will look at those selfies and remind myself to stay on the program. I am watching a film daily on FMTV to keep myself motivated and I have seen several success stories as well as adding to my knowledge base. This is not going to be a yo-yo diet for me. In fact I'm calling this the lifestyle change; the plan where I will eat to live rather than live to eat. I didn't have time to bake that apple today so when I felt I needed more than the juice I ate an apple. I will be doing the salad recipe this week-end as well as preparing and freezing several juices so that I can stay on point. Will definitely share as needed and look forward to hearing from some of you as well. Good luck to all and stay the course..we can do this.

    Senior citizens have a unique perspective on health. We have more issues to be considered than weight loss. Although some of us are in this for weight loss, we struggle with issues like strength/mobility, bone health, and other health problems associated with aging. I am going to be 70 in 2014 and my husband and I are raising 2 grandchildren, so it is in my best interest to stay healthy as I continue to "age gracefully". I have done several reboots/juice fasts. I am 80-85% raw and 100% vegan. If there are any other senior citizens going through this reboot with Joe, let's hear from you. Good luck!

    A group for those interested in not only doing a reboot but using it as a tool to effect serious change in your life. Use this opportunity to kick cravings out, face mental demons, load up on tons of fruits and vegetables and start living the life you always knew you could! I just completed my first 60 day juice only reboot on Thanksgiving (11-28-14) and lost 40lbs!!!! I felt great and still do but am not mentally where I want to be with food yet and physically still need to lose about 40lbs. So, I enjoyed my month after Thanksgiving to Christmas eating a mostly vegan diet and am ready to kick off another 60 day juice reboot. All are welcome, newbies and veterans alike, and although I am doing juice only and hope others will join me, all rebooters are welcome whether you juice only or don't or if it is for 60 days or 3. Let's join together and encourage one another to freedom!!!!
