• About: I am a 29 year old mother of 4. I have dreams that I won't achieve if I do not get healthy and lose weight. It's time to take this step. I have been more inspired by Joe. I cried throughout his documentary because it felt as though I was watching myself in the beginning but having the end result dangle before my eyes without a way to achieve it. Now I have those tools to get to that finish line. I can't wait to start! I have a long road ahead of me needing to lose over 150 lbs. it's time to stop hiding and make this change for me and my children.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I am a 29 year old mother of 4. I have been overweight since age 6. I have had PCOS poly cystic ovarian syndrome since I was 17 years old, however the condition went un diagnosed until now. The symptoms and signs are all in my medical report however my doctor missed it because I was able to have my children. I have decided that I do not want to take medications like metformin for my PCOS, I want to heal my body naturally if I can. I have four children under age 6.5 that need me. I need to get better so I can be there for them. At this point it's life or death. PCOS often makes weight loss extremely difficult however I'm not just here for weight loss, I am here to change my life and add back all the phytonutrients that I have deprived myself over the years just by simply being selfish and eating what I want. I ate food I didn't actually want or enjoy just because it was convenient. That is my rock bottom, realizing I hate what I'm eating! I want to get better there is no other option for me. I desperately need help.

Hi Bonnie---How did your mom and sis like Joe's book? That's great that they are supporting you. A family getting healthier together....can't go wrong there. Is that new kitchen making juicing fun for you?

I am beginning another reboot tomorrow. Had a wild week and almost nowhere i went had juice and i didn't want to starve myself for a week! Im getting back on track now that I am home and roaring to go! Hope all are doing well on their reboots!

I bought my mother and sister Joe's book for mothers day with the note that says, "I hope this book helps you as much as it has helped me!" I can't wait to begin a reboot with both of them for support!

I have been juicing frequently until we were put in a hotel for home renovations. That knocked me off the wagon. Then my computer crashed. Most home renovations are finished, still have a few things left to do that are in progress but my kitchen is done and ready to juice in again. Im back online and ready to juice. This to me is like quitting smoking. I will fall off the wagon at times but as long as i get back on I am one step closer to my goal. I WILL GET THERE!

After being diagnosed type 2 diabetic I was advised by my doctor to temporarily discontinue the juice fast. Its only for a week or two. I was put on metformin to regulate blood sugars and a lot of the juicing symptoms and metformin symptoms are the same so I have to see how it will affect me since those symptoms could mean a problem has developed with metformin...some could be serious.

I will continue to be on my journey and here at the forums to keep my motivation while u have to wait. I can and will be juicing...just not only juicing. I have to eat with it. I look forward to starting over!

On a brighter note I have lost abd maintained a total of 11 pounds so far! My doctor is verypleased and my a1c levels are already down .6 points! That is an improvement in only two and a half weeks!

I have been waiting three weeks for my blood work to come back. All my results cholesterol, lipids, hormones etc came back normal except my glucose levels. I just find out I am diabetic. :( this is what scares me the most. I have been having a ton of symptoms of insulin resistance with my PCOS which is how I was diagnosed with PCOS so quickly. This is not uncommon. I was hoping though that I would have caught it before turning diabetic. I guess not. And to top it off I haven't been losing weight. I have maintained my 9 pound loss which is awesome and I'm so happy for that. I am thinking that I am gaining muscle. I didn't take measurements so I am unsure if im losing inches. I am going to continue my juicing but modify my plan based on the diabetic needs. So probably 90% veggies 10% fruits until I can see how certain things affects my glucose levels.

I may have had the rug pulled out from under me however my body will have to kick me to keep me down. I will get back up and fight to not have to take medication to control this. Life is Now or Never! I choose now!

I have had a rough day but sticking to my plan. I do see how stress can stop weight loss. I'm working out and maintaining the 9.2 pounds I have lost but I'm stumped. Stress is bad. I think I may include some meditation into my routine. I think I'm too fat for yoga yet but that is, something id like to get into in time. Anything to reduce my stress levels. But I'm sticking to my juicing. Hope everyone is doing good!

Way to go chunky monkey. You can do this!!! Keep your eye on the prize: good health and a great example for your kids. Mine inspire me every day. And my hubby. He is slowly seeing that nutrition might just help in his fight against LGL leukemia. He starts a new chemo drug tomorrow and is fearing it. Prayers requested. :-)

DAY 4 down and I feel amazing. I was able to drive by all the fast food restraints in town on my way to the grocery store abd not once did I crave any of them. I also walked the entire grocery store without any craving for anything but water and asparagus lol who knew? People seriously try to buy this kind of energy in pills and other gimmicks. Why spend that kind of money on a pill when all you have to do is eat nutrient rich foods! It seems like sucha brainless question. I can't even describe how I feel besides full, vibrant, and energetic! so grateful to Joe Cross for showing me that my life can change and my cravings for unhealthy foods can go away! He truly has saved my life!

Great to hear! I wonder why you are craving asparagus? I juiced some for the first time a couple of days ago, but I couldn't really taste it. Well done you. Keep up the good work!

im here. I'm tired, but here. I guess this must be my detox day because I felt great until today. Maybe it's the snow and feeling cooped up wanting comfort food. I dunno but I haven't touched anything other than my juices so I'm proud of myself for that. I.also have lost 7 pounds so excited for the future. I know I will get better and be back in the energy saddle again.

morning of day 3...more motivated than ever! I was going to wait until day 7 to weigh in abd I couldn't wait. I am down 7.2 pounds!! I am so excited! I know most of that is water weight because I can now wear my rings again and my joints don't feel stiff anymore. That's the best feeling! I am excited for my day!
