  • Feel alone - new in here but on Day 9 juice only

    Hi there,

maybe I can find some support here? Started 9 days ago, wasn't hard to start, because I've eaten Eat2Live for three weeks before that, but then on day 3 I stumbled and even got a little sick. Since then it's a little harder. I'm getting nicely into doing my own juices with the stuff that's at home - but I'm really struggling to drink 4-6 juices a day (let alone juicing them). I'm recovering from a burnout, wonder if that has anything to do with being weak these days?

I'm losing weight like crazy, that's why I manage to still stick with it ... For many reasons I need to lose a lot of weight quickly - but, most of all, I'm interested in living and eating healthful.

Eat2Live was already a great start and it gives me hope for how to eat after the fast. I've often fasted before, but not juicse fasting, this is so much better. And, of course, the hardest always was to eat right afterwards. I seldom managed to do it long - but now I'm full of hope, because I've never focused on nutrient density before.

Would love to get in touch with others on a juice only fast - I'd love to go 40 days, but I don't know if I can manage. I certainly should go for another three weeks - then I'll see how I feel, as someone else said - take it day by day :)

    Hope to hear from someone.

  • Any rebooters in Germany or anyone having good German links/tips???

I'm just wondering if there are any rebooters in Germany - especially, since I'm getting more and more excited about juicing and Eat to Live - but there is not much I can find in German to give to friends, family and other people who could really benefit from it.

Anyone here who has similar experiences? Would love to exchange German links etc. - or even translate some things ...

Hope to hear from you ;)

    Cheers, Carmen

Here's a great challenge on Dr Fuhrman's website (Eat to Live):

You get help, two months free gold membership on his site and a lot of encouragement for eating healthful after the juicing ;)
If interested, check out the story of last year's challenge winners:

All the best to all fellow rebooters!

I finished day 16 today juice only - in general I'm impressed, but I did have very low energy levels due to exhaustion before I started. The first days were no problem whatsoever, then I had some additional stress and an infection. Since then I'm very low on energy again.

Could there be any problem? I don't feel bad and enjoy the juicing (with the normal ups and downs, I guess), but today was a little worse and now I'm really wondering: is it just normal or do I maybe hurt my body because of the exhaustion prior to the juice fast?

I soooo much would love to keep going ...

  • no flaxseed???

I just read in some recipe, that flaxseed is NOT good while on a juice only fast??? Before I used to fast with teas, water and broth - and flaxseed was always recommended by doctors.
Did I understand something wrong? Or do you really NOT recommend flaxseed and why?
    Thankx, Carmen

I'm just wondering if there are any other rebooters that went into the reboot with exhaustion/fatigue.

I've gone juice-only for a while (being on an all time low with my energy after many years of work/negative emotional overload) - it was great especially in terms of how my body felt and how the pounds just went ;).

But my energy seemed to have gone down even more. I've tried now again - but it really seems my body is calling for hot soups (I got ice cold and just couldn't take the juices anymore) and something solid, even though my mind was sooooo set on juicing only.

I'd be sooo interested if there have been rebooters with similar issues and how they got their energy back? Are there times (I don't really have any medical conditions, my GP gave his ok for a juice fast, my blood test results are pretty good) when the body really cannot take a juice only reboot???

I'm so very disappointed, yet today it seems I had to finally accept that a juice-only simply doesn't seem to be right. I just wonder if that is really possible (even though I'm re-learning to listen to my body - and it seems to be pretty clear, yet my mind just doesn't want to accept it ...)?

What is the best and fastest way (nutrition wise) to get my energy back? I really have changed everything I could in my life already, but for six months now it's only going downhill (the only positive thing is that despite that I could change my nutrition to mainly plant-based, nutrient dense food and juicing - and even though times are so tough I never fell back into addictions/bad food and lost weight instead ... AMAZING :) ).

Maybe anyone can help or has some experience with this?
    Would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Carmen

A friend of mine suffers from muscular dystrophy and mild interstitial lung disease - would it be possible for her to go on a juice fast or can juicing in general help with these problems?

    Thanks a lot,

    Hi there - it's me again :)

I'm sorry I keep asking these questions - but I'm just so deeply impressed by now what nutrients can do to the body. I'm reading up on the Gerson Therapy and can barely believe how forgotten the fact is that the body can heal itself in so many ways given the right circumstances ...

Now I heard about someone calling out desperately for help with a tinnitus, someone else also having nerve damage on the ear and having no silence anymore ...

Does anyone know if nutrition can also help the body to heal these things? But how intensive would it have to be? Is there any place these people could get help if it IS possible thru nutrition?

Thanks a lot for all your effort to constantly answer our questions FOR FREE - I wish I could do somehting like that :)

    Cheers, Carmen

I really miss our encouraging groups on this site! We had the best experience with weekly new starts - so I'd like to start a group like that again. I hope everyone joins who wants to start fresh with new goals every week and needs/wants to give encouragement.

Please state your goals for the week - whether it be jucing only, juicing and eating or eating and juicing :) or even other goals in life for the week.

Looking forward to doing this together,
