  • About: I'm a practicing Christian. I didn't do well on many Reboot with Joe because I didn't include Jesus. I'm not here to convert anyone. Just letting you know whom I belong to and love.I'm starting today October 21, 2015, which is when I get some money. I weighed in today at 281.2 lbs. and I'm 5'5'' in height. I grew up very skinny. I was put on medication in 1989 by mistake and gained 50 to 60 pounds within one month. I had one major surgery in 2005. I had colon cancer in 2006. After stopping cigarettes, alcohol and drugs I went with food. I remember eating and humming because it was so good. I went for gall bladder surgery in February 2015 and my mammogram came back with breast cancer. The four weeks of radiation got rid of the breast cancer. Hallelujah! What got me was the anti-cancer meds. I've been trying them since April 2015 until September 2015. The side effects was horrendous, tiredness, sleepiness, severe depression to which I was in bed most of the time. I find out that I can't take those pills and I've tried them all. So it's back to juicing for me. The goal that I have for myself is to weigh in at 160 pounds. I believe with the help of my God it is possible. Not by my strength ~ but His.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I've joined reboot because mainly I want to lose weight. I know that's not why many join Reboot with Joe. However losing weight will get me off my blood pressure medicine also it will get rid of my sleep apnea. Energy, alertness, clear skin, my hair growing faster; and able to stand for long periods of time are a few reasons why I'm here. Losing weight will help my left ankle and right knee (due to previous injuries) to be pain free, I do believe.

This group is inspired by all the amazing people I have met in this community who, like me, have or had 100 lbs or more to lose when starting this journey with our wonderful Joe Cross:) There are special challenges in this world for those of us who are "morbidly obese" and there are some incredibly inspirational people around here conquering those challenges every day. Come be inspired and inspiring!
