  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: I wanted to get more fruits and veggies in my diet and be in the best health I can be. After seeing Joe's movie I decided juicing was the answer. I did my first 10 day reboot in February 2013 and loved the way I felt and the results. I joined the Big New Year's reboot January 2014 and lost 12 more pounds and then finally met my goal after a third 10 day all juice reboot last April. Now I am trying to maintain my weight by eating healthy and juicing.

Well, I weighed in yesterday and the scale hasn't budged...stuck at 144!

Kind of bummed this week...I was very careful about juicing and eating only salads and veggie soups, but when I weighed in this morning I hadn't lost any more weight...a real let down after losing 5 pounds the previous week by doing the same thing. Oh well, at least I didn't gain any weight. I am thinking that I am better off to just write on my own wall since the groups I am in are ghost towns and I get no response anyways.

    Hi bgoodman,

I am on day 15 Juice only .I am losing weight very slowly as well and it's very frustrated but I like how positive you are "at least I didn't gain any weight" good for you. :)

I lost 7 pounds first few days then nothing for a week , then 2.5 last night. Just stay with the plan, add some workout to your routine and drink more water . What day are you on and how long are you going For ? I can be your juice body. :)

Amani, so nice to meet you! I still have about 5 pounds to go. I am not on an all juice reboot at the present time. I have been on maintenance since I met my goal last May, but gained 9 pounds in November and December so I am on a modified reboot. I am drinking 2-3 juices a day and eating salads or veggie soup. I do a variety of 30 minute exercise routines 4-6 days a week, but had gotten off schedule over the holidays. I always struggle with getting enough water in, but I know how important that is so I press on. I tend to drink more hot herbal teas in the winter which count toward water intake.

Anyways, I would love to be a juicing buddy...you can never have too many!

I am posting this on my own page so I don't offend anyone, but I was so excited to use my homemade goat cheese I just had to share! I made mozzarella and ricotta cheese with my goat milk last weekend and tonight I made Spinach Ricotta stuffed shells for dinner for the staff. I even used some of the fresh basil from my herb garden with the spinach and ricotta for the stuffing. Everyone liked it!

Do you think so, Maxene? Some people are funny about cheese...and I think I read in Lia's description of the group to limit recipes with certain ingredients and cheese was one of them. I was so excited about my first time making homemade cheese from my own goat's milk that I just didn't want any negative comments or criticism.

Yes, I see your point Bev, after reading Vege-table wall just now. Even so, good job on the success of making the cheese from goats milk. In the past, goats cheese was a fave with me. Going to Greece 2 yrs ago and having it freshly made and served was so nice!

I am pleased to announce that I became a grandma today. We were blessed with a gorgeous little baby boy, Ezekiel. Mama (my daughter) and baby are doing fine. He has already stolen my heart!

Had a really great day of food choices today! Smoothie for breakfast, salad for lunch, juices for snack, and sautéed veggies for dinner...AND I got all my water in as well thanks to making an infused water with lime and fresh mint. Of course, there were multiple trips to the bathroom...it felt like I was back on a reboot!

Maybe you have been searching for healthier vegetable and fruit-based alternatives to feed your family during your own juice feast. If so, good for you!! With obesity rates SOARING around the world (children included), there is no better time to make health a priority for every single body in your home (including your pet!!). And for those who are letting food serve as a source of "medicine" for the ills that plague the body, here's to living a STRONG life! Welcome aboard!! There are no "wagons" from which to fall off in here...just an open roundtable for exchanging nutritious plant-based food and drink ideas. So feel free to post your thoughts, recipes and pictures. Cheers to a wealth of good health!! (As this is a site for encouraging maximum health and healing, please try to share ideas for dishes that DO NOT contain large amounts of the following ingredients: animal products, seafood, milk/dairy, cheese, eggs, processed food, creams, butter, excess table salt or sugar, white flour, white rice or cooking oil. Thank you so very much for your understanding and kind cooperation!!).
