• About: About to embark on a 60 day Reboot. I've done a 10 day reboot about a year ago and was very successful. 60 days is quite different though. I know I am going to need some support and typically I would not join chat groups to look for that but since some of you may be on the same path - I figured this was the best place.
  • Why I've Joined Reboot with Joe: Oh where to start. I just turned 39 years old and have struggled with some form of a weight issue for close to 15 years. I've done WW. I've done the Low-Carb. I've done HCG. I've done less calories and more working out (which of course worked the best)..... but all in all the problem remains me. I show zero self control. I've steadily gained 50 lbs in the last 15 years. I feel horrible and know this stronghold in my life has to break. For me, this is a huge spiritual journey as well. My plan is to use this time (and allow God to use this time) to break my relying on food/carbs and start training my body to desire healthy stuff instead. Physically speaking, I would like to lose 50-60 lbs.... I am starting April 3rd!

    Hi azblueeyes2;

    I began mine on March 13th. The first week was "interesting", to say the least. I have never turned a blind eye to a great plate of food, and everything I am really fond of is high in carbs and sugar. So watching everyone eat around me was probably the hardest. I was getting discouraged at the end of the week because weight loss almost completely leveled out, but it kicked back in gear again. (See my chart I posted a couple hours ago).

    But week 2 was, for me, the hardest. The hunger pains really started coming, and I had to make sure I had a tall glass of water around me all the time. The gas and bathroom problems really came about midway into the 2nd week. But the ongoing weight loss keeps me committed.

    I was able to get through it all with family that supported me, and from Spirit filled strength. I certainly could not have done it on my own.

    Find your favorite recipe, or make your own by experimenting, which is what I did. Don't slack on the Ginger and Coconut Water. I also heat up the vegetable broth and put cayenne pepper in it. Works great after a full glass of water and/or juice. That's what I look forward to each evening.

    That is all really helpful info, thanks for sharing. Today is day 1 and while I am definitely relieved to know the weight loss part of it is soon to come - I'm also excited to see how this effects all aspects of life. May I ask how much you have lost since you began on 3/13? Helps keep me inspired!

    Hey there blue eyes! Yes!! I started my 30 day juice fast 3 days ago. I've done 7-10 fast before and this is the first time I've gone for so long, it would be greT to have a partner in crime to share the experience with! After 30 days I'm doing a very slow introduction to food so I'm in some ways doing a 60 day fast. Anyway, I hope to hear from you and can't wait to reap the rewards of this intense journey:)

    Awesome that you are 3 days in. I know the first week is going to be the hardest. Partner is juicing crime sounds fine to me. lol. How is the 3rd day treating you? Have you set any goals for your 30 days?
