Hello everyone made it to the desert yesterday, we didn't go out for brunch so I juiced all day. I did have a few glasses of wine yesterday. And am going to juice 100% today. I lucked out and the grapefruit tree that is in the yard is loaded with fruit!

Here is an inspirational video some may enjoy http://www.snagfilms.com/films/title/the_gerson_miracle

Ok here's the winner for whole food ranch dressing. Personally I think it makes a better veggie dip than a dressing since my blender doesn't get the cashews to be completely smooth no matter how much liquid I add. But either way not too bad. I'm going to keep playing with it to see if I can get it any better. Still writing my blog post but didn't want to keep everyone waiting

Here is a recipe for a vegetarian chili that I have used. As you can see it is high in sodium, so when I made it in the past I rinse and drain off the beans. It is really delicious I make it for friends at a yearly camp out who are vegan, and I won a chili cook off with this at a Thanksgiving weekend campout at the beach a few years ago. http://recipes.womenshealthmag.com/Recipe/easy-breezy-vegetarian-chili.aspx

Hi, My name is Leslie, and I just finished a 15 day reboot that turned into a 30 day reboot. My weight loss goal is 30 lbs. As of this morning, I am down 25 lbs. I would like to continue juicing; however, I am off on vacation with the hubby for 10 days, so I am planning to eat whole food vegan while I am on vacation and also juice. I made 2 days worth of juices which I will put in an ice chest just before we leave, which will allow me to juice the 2 days we will be driving. I actually need to lose more than the 25 lbs I shed on the program so plan to go back to juicing again when I get back giving myself goals in 10 lb increments, something I will be able to see as doable! I have a garden and have used all of my own Kale and beets so far. I planted lettuce, more Kale, more beets, spinach, broccoli, and cabbage recently. they should be ready to harvest before the heat of summer hits here in N. California. I have starts of peas, beans, and tomatoes in my green house that I will plant when I get home. I hope to learn from you all how to eat a whole food plant based diet.

I have such a brown thumb! I bought a couple of herb plants from the store and I can't even keep those alive. Definitely did not inherit my mother's 10 green thumbs lol.

Have a SAFE and happy vacation. I think it's wonderful you grow your own food. I wish I were able to.

Hi! I am just starting my reboot... I am going for 60 day... very scared and excited. I will be doing 5 day's of veg/fruit and then just juice... I was wondering about the introduction of food once I am ready so I hope it's ok that I joined.

I am also going to pick up Joe's book.. anyone have it? Is it worth it? I'm addicted to reading posts and getting great tips.

    Happy Juicing!

Welcome Randa! Yeah feel free to collect recipes and listen in on tips. A juice fast is just the beginning, we have to continue our journeys by eating healthy. Best of luck to you over the next 2 months! (and after of course)

Hi everyone I am from Adelaide Australia I have just done 31 days of juicing and have lost 7 kgs and I am feeling much better to what I was a few weeks ago. I am looking to join a very active group for support as I make the transition from part juicing to eating healthy. I have started with soups, salads and part juice is this the way to go or is there something else I should be considering. Still open to learning and growing. May God bless each one of you on your journey.

Hello. I don't have any advice because you have done better than me! Just wanted to say I think it's wonderful you did a 31 day reboot and that you give God the credit for helping you through :)

I'm on the last day of the juice fast part of my journey. 15 days. Now to do 30 days of WholePB diet. Adding in solid fruits/veggies, nuts, and oils. Holding off on starches (except potatoes and squashes) and beans.

Yay! I'm going to cook up a few soups for the week and a vegan lasagna with zucchini "noodles." I think this is the most excited I've ever been about planning to spend a weekend in the kitchen. Going to keep 2-3 juices a day in my diet for the rest of Lent (or maybe forever.)

Yum! Let me know how the lasagna turns out. Congrats on the 15 days of juicing!

Something to look forward to: This weekend I'm experimenting to make a whole food/raw ranch salad dressing. I'll post the final recipe when finished!

Sounds good. Went on my honeymoon to Sydney, Australia. While having lunch I ordered salad with ranch. I received a very strange look and the comment "you want a ranch?". I found there were 2 choices when ordering salad. House dressing or none!

I didn't have very good luck making my own italian dressing last month. Too oily, spices didn't mix well. Still sitting in the back of my fridge haha. Looking forward to this though as ranch is my dressing of choice.
