hi all today is day one for me for my juice fast.

I just started day one. I have a question, how many juices a day? Just 3 a day, or do you do a small one for snacks? I've been lucky enough to have the next 4 days to myself, so it's just me and the juice, no other options. (as long as I don't get in my truck and go anywhere...lol)

The plans call for 5 juices a day, each one is around 500ml. More juices are fine, if you find yourself hungry.

When I am juicing I make up a couple quarts at a time and just drink whenever I am hungry with plenty of water in between. I found that I needed to relearn "when" my body was actually hungry and that scheduling when I should be hungry was not as satisfying as just making sure I had plenty of juice handy to handle the hunger when it came. I remember Joe saying that he put down 5 to 6 - 24 oz.'ers a day. That worked for me but it was odd how uneven my hunger was at first. In the beginning to stave off the cravings for solid food I would grab the juice and gulp it down and that worked well. After a while though that was no longer necessary and I got into more of a routine balanced nutritional intake. That's what I am calling it cause it seemed like my body was more regulated. Good for you and good luck, juice on.

Katiejay, hope your hanging in there! Plant based is sooooo much better than eating out of or because of emotions! I am caring for my son who had foot surgery. I don't do well with change in my routine but I love having him home. ( I am at about 80 percent plant based and fruit and juice.)He's the one who started me on the juicing and it will help him recover more quickly. I won't get down on myself because though the road gets bumpy, I'll keep on driving, maybe slow down... but NEVER STOP! Keeping you in my prayers!!!

Same here Katiejay! And I KNOW how good I feel, just the "discipline" factor that needs a kick in the tush! I started last week and have only been plant based with juice. Inching my way to juice reboot. Have juices ready in fridge for tomorrow. It's amazing how good I started feeling even with only 2-3 juices a day! Good luck on 60 days! That's my dream!

    Hey, Glam :)

I've decided not to do 60 after all. I'm an emotional wreck these days and doing a juice fast brings out the Mrs. Hyde in me. I'm sticking to plant-based throughout the day, plus juice or fresh fruit for breakfast. The long-winded version plus a recipe is on my blog in Real Change.

I'm certainly glad that you're feeling so good.

I did an hour of Richard Simmons' HOPE DVD this morning and it made me feel better.

Katiejay!!!!! I found you! It's me! Glam Ma!!! I have missed you! In between neck issues, seeing a neurosurgeon, knee surgery for a torn lateral meniscus AND my older brother living with me from December till June (as he went through a divorce), I have neglected myself in the worse way...physically and emotionally the past many months have taken a tole on me. Having contemplated diet doctors, quick fix weight loss plans, and killing myself at the gym, I kept thinking about how good I felt when I rebooted for nearly 15 days. Hands down the best thing I ever did for myself! That was when I felt the best, the most energetic, and productive. I am attending a religious retreat from Thursday till Sunday, Fathers Day. On Monday, June 22 I will begin my reboot. I look forward to hearing from you and you KNOW I need and love your support!!! Hope all is well with you!

    Glam Ma!!!! Hi :)

I'm so glad to see you back :)

My life's had many ups and too many downs.

I'm beginning an extended juice fast on Friday, June 26. Hopefully I can complete my first ever 60 days. I may never quit, but I certainly give up too easily.
