Day 17 and so far so good..till now just having juices, green tea and cocunut water. Thinking of having soups, can we have soups or vegetable stock while juicing ?

I also do a veggie stock but mine is no salt added from the store. It hasn't affected my weight loss and it is satisfying to have something warm later in the day.

A clear broth with low (or no) salt is fine, but keep away from soup. Some people make broth with the pulp from their juice. Put it in a pot with water, herbs/spices and simmer for an hour or so. Strain the broth from the solids and season with a little salt or Mrs. Dash. I add a splash of Worcestershire or hot sauce for a little kick. Enjoy!

Yes the journey is full of speed bumps, just keep working towards the big picture (a new healthier, leaner you) and you will get there, eat healthy, get active and you will win IF YOU KEEP IT UP!

Don't give up if you find a speedbumps, just keep heading in the right direction and make the journey fun and enjoyable as possible.

And definitely don't beat yourself up if you do hit a few speed bumps, that's a normal part of this type of journey (no one is 100% perfect) despite what they may tell you - this journey is about making lifelong changes not short term goals (short term goals are important) but long term goals are more important for me, as I say this is a marathon not a sprint, just relax and make the journey to a happier, healthier you an enjoyable one, expect speed bumps and detours on your journey to freedom.

Well done. I also fell of wagon a little bit a few days ago, but I'm back on track again:) As long as we keep on going it doesn't matter how many times we take a little detour on a way to our goal. No journey is perfect:)

    WARRNIING FOOD REFERNCE IN POST

in the 2nd video that Joe did the idea was not that you if you eat food that is unhealthy for you, you are a bad person. But instead you are normal. there will be a time that i just want a piece of pie, or cake for my birthday, or a summer bar-b-que for the holidays, but instead that our healthy life style should be just that a life style, and 90% of the time we are eating a plant based/healthy diet. and 10% of the time we are enjoying some of the decadent things in life.

Good morning! My weight loss is slowing down at the moment. I've lost 0.4 of a pound in the last 2 days. Still juicing and going to the gym to do a cardio workout almost everyday. Have a good day everyone!

day 12 - hope everyone is hanging in there! Nearly half way there!!! For all those people out there - as I have said on my previous posts - I must be the only one on here who hates the taste - nothing has changed there - yuck and I don't like coconut water - double yuck - But I am sticking to the program and nothing solid has passed these lips and I continue to drink lots of green juice and lots of coconut water and lots of regular water - still losing about 1lb a day - so far including my prep week - I have lost a stone in weight - more important in all this is a change in mind set - retraining in terms of temptation - so if I am able to bypass all the goodies on offer at work and all the leftover christmas junk I know that I am on my way to good practices and healthy eating - stay strong and juice on!

Day 15 -----DOWN 16 LBS. yipeeeeeeeeee. Saw my doctor today and he said my labs are perfect. I asked him if we can start weaning me off of my meds, but he said after my surgery (Feb 1st) we will start taking me off some of my meds. Ideally I would like to be off all of them, but that may not be possible. I started my protein today. I had bought chocolate plant based protein a while ago. . I didn’t’ think that would go well with my juices, so I blended with ice and coconut water. I don’t like the consistency of the plant based protein, but I know I have to use it. How is Joes protein as far as the consistency? Juice on everyone.

Paddy, I just froze 7 jars of juice. I understand that they have to be used between 7-10 days. I’ll let you know after I defrost them.

Day 11 here and only 3 pounds down. I'm drinking enough juice and water as well as working out. Regardless I feel great, still going for 30 days!

Jobo90, if you don't mind me asking - how much weight do you have to lose?
