Hi all! Sorry for being silent for days. Had an extremely busy few days at work. I'm nearing the end of my 15-day reboot. Tomorrow is day 15. I wasn't perfect, but I think I've done really well and I'm feeling proud of myself. I'm hoping for an 8lb loss overall - I'll know on Monday morning.

Sungyrll, that's so great!! Both the weight loss AND the book launch party. I'll have to find out if he'll be in Boston. It's funny - just this morning my son and I were at a café near our house; I was ordering a juice for breakfast and Ben said "Joe Cross would LOVE this place!" :)

    Hi Gang,

This is actually day 13-- not sure how I missed that up! I started on a Friday and today is Thursday... must have been those first 5 days of blurr when I made my chart. Anyway- the scale stayed the same today- which is fine with me. I do have to admit, its getting easier- physically anyway. The hunger pangs are gone- the emotional issues are still underlying, but physically I am feeling strong.

How is everyone else doing? I am so ready for Spring!

Hi Gang-- day 13 and a 14.8lb weight loss. I messed up last night and had a taco from Taco Bell-- I did spit most of it out- but still- that's sick enough in its own statement! Self sabotage at its highest level. Going to work on that today (if the boss gets off my back- although that could be some of the issue as well) I guess if you think about it, one doesn't arrive at almost 300 lbs if there aren't some serious emotional issues buried deep into the cellular level....

So-- I am very excited! I am going to go Joe Cross' book launch party next Tuesday in Manhattan. Its $30 and you get the new book, a meet and greet and he will sign the book. Oh fun! This will keep me on track this week-- that's for sure!

Day 12- lost 1 lb- Making my total weight loss thus far 13.6 lbs.. so actually that is on track for the average of a pound a day. I have 38 more days to go and 36.4 pounds to lose before April 3rd- good friday. or Passover and my mother's birthday! I'm kind of confused at the moment. I have heard people say don't focus on the numbers on the scale, focus on getting healthy, blah blah blah.. Then there are others who say make a goal, and stick to it- weigh yourself every day etc.. So then I start to think, for the first part of this journey- the first reboot fast, focus on the 50 lb weight loss goal. And for the next one, just focus on the health and begin working out. I have 150 lbs to lose (well 135.4 now- ha ha)

I can't start working out right now- I have to get some of this weight off due to my knee. But I bought a cool tricycle for Christmas and can not wait for Spring to get out and ride it on the boardwalk.

Today has been rough-- emotionally wanting to eat everything- for NO reason. I am NOT even hungry. OY!

Goals can be hard - there's no right or wrong way. It's really all about what works for you. I set a monthly goal of losing 4 lbs a month in 2015, with a long term goal of wearing a size 10 (comfortably!)

I knew it would happen at some point: I started up the juicer without making sure the pitcher was fully in place. Juice all over the counter! And OF COURSE it was beet. My kitchen looks like a crime scene. Happy Monday to all!

Hah-- I have done that! I've also made juices and already washed the juicer parts and realized I had forgotten to add the spinach - or something like that!

I know what you mean! This morning I got up feeling utterly convinced that I had lost weight and the scale showed a 2.4 gain from yesterday. I know it has nothing to do with my calorie intake, but wow, what a disappointment! But yes, as the song says, Let It Go... :)

OMG-- thank goodness you gained KC... it is making me feel so much better! This was my past 3 days-

    gained 2.8 lbs

    lost 2.6 lbs

and then this morning- gained .6 lbs! Whaaaaaaat??? Sheesh... I am sure its because I haven't gone to the bathroom properly in 3 days. I bought some tea called "smooth move" but I have to work tomorrow in manhattan and an hour 15 commute with nowhere to move, so to speak. So if no movement, tomorrow night I'll drink some tea. I really should just weigh in once a week- but I am obsessed and I want that joy of seeing the scale go down. NOT UP! No joy in that-- lol!

Hi Gang! I am so sick of winter-- argh! I wanted to go out last night and got about 30 miles when I realized I was driving into a snow storm and had to turn around! Then spent the evening watching movies. I had 3 perfect days under my belt of just juicing, when I got on the scale and gained 2.8 lbs- ARGH!!!!! I was so disappointed- I did manage to stay on course until around 9pm and had a handful of almonds. Got on the scale today and lost 2.6 lbs so my total weigh loss is still 13.2 so its not too devastating. But man-- that 2.8 lb gained freaked me out. LET IT GO! I know the body is changing etc.. but still... argh! Interesting about the almonds-- I wasn't really craving anything in particular-- I just wanted to eat... need to tap on that in case it happens again (which I am sure it will).

I am planning on juicing until April 3rd which is Good Friday and my mother's birthday. Then take a 10 day break-- probably following ETL (Joel Furhman's program-- the doctor that Joe went to during Fat Sick & Nearly Dead) then go back to a 30 day juice fast again. But right now-- its one day at a time-- or one minute sometimes!

Thanks, Sungyrll! Had a great day, and I'm currently enjoying a dinner of Mean Green. I find my motivation swings up and down throughout the day. Still craving certain foods, but now that I'm nearing the halfway point of the 15-day it doesn't seem like too long to wait. What's everyone's transition plan after the reboot? I'm heading to Weight Watchers and will definitely keep juicing.
