Hi Shay, Have you had a problem with too much fruit? My doctor thought that was a lot of fruit for a diabetic but I'm going to give it a try hoping it will all balance out. I just have to monitor my sugars

Casey no because you lessen the fruit as you go along and your taste buds will change and you will be able to tell what is full of sugar and what is not. I can get by with little fruit in my juices. I much prefer lemon or ginger after tastes now rather than sweet. I say go with how they make you feel. Cut the fruit in half and see how it goes. Rhaya is excellent. Full of knowledge.

I'm from Edmonton, AB Casey. I'm Day 6 of juicing today and am finding it really easy as the juices are quite filling/satisfying. I'm excited for you starting. You will feel SO much better!! Stick with it because when you give the body what it needs, it will greatly help heal itself. The body is meant to heal itself with the proper foods.

Thursday, July 19th, Greetings Rebooters! I hope everyone is healthy and happy. I have been very busy getting my house in order figuratively and literally. I received a promotion at work so preparing for a busy 3 months. I start in a couple weeks so want to get a wonderful 2 week water only fast completed before I begin. Then I will continue with intermittent fasting, low carb, medium protein, and healthy fats. I have been reading articles and watching videos from Dr. Jason Fung's website www.idmprogram.com. I decided to sign up for his paid membership community to learn from and get support from IDM experts and other water only fasters. Especially those that have a medical background and understand insulin resistance better than I do. Dr. Fong has two plans: a free community plan and a monthly fee plan. Obviously, the monthly fee plan has more resources including consults with nutritionists / health professionals and a private Facebook Community. I just joined the monthly fee plan, and I am in my free first month option. After the first month the fee is $39.00 per month U.S, and you can cancel at any time. I have been using Dr. Fong's free community resources for 2 months now, and do highly recommend that option too. For me, I am now ready to increase my fasting community of like minded healthy folks.

I will not be around as much so if you have juicing or health questions for me, send me a reboot website email and let me know how you are. I successfully completed a 100 day juice only reboot 2 years ago, and the experience was priceless. I am now ready to take my health journey to the next level with Dr. Fung's water fasting protocol. I will check in with you on the weekends and look forward to reading your posts. Thank you all for your encouragement and support, and remember to make your health a priority. Juice On Friends.

Hello fellow juicing Canadians. Anyone here living in Toronto?

I'm just in the early beginnings of juicing and wondering if someone could break down the cost you spend on a juice cleanse for a week.

I want to do this. But I want to be smart about it as well. Toronto living is expensive, and more expensive with a family.

Hi Magda! I'm an hour away. I will say it depends the route you go. I shopped at goodness me for a week and it cost $168 for a weeks worth of organic produce. With that comes the happy feeling of eating organic. Also i wouldnt recommend shopping for a week unless you do batch juicing which is just juicing all in one go and then freezing some as you need it throughout the week. If that sounds crazy to you, after you think about how much you spend eating out during the week on breakfasts, lunches and suppers. Or how much you are currently spending on food for the week for yourself in T dot. Plus add in the factor of if you feel like crap or not and then come up with an answer you can see if its affordable or not.

Then there are the shortcuts. Where you go to a regular grocery store and stay away from the "Dirty Dozen"

    https://www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty-dozen.php

(buying those expressly organic as they contain the most pesticides) then that reduces the cost.

Also farmer's markets or signing up for a CSA. Here is a link to Ontario CSAs. Then you can get fresh produce that way.

Last resort you can go to a juice cafe...a REAL one that specializes in juices....they usually have a weekly "cleanse" package etc.... that you can purchase where they stock you up for the week.

I hope this all was helpful. I'm on a guided reboot and been on it 18 days and I had recently figure out the hows to's as well.

Hey Canucks. Way to go on the break in heat the last few days. I'm so grateful for it. I've discovered beets and that's awesome because beets are something we can get year round here. So juice on you quiet bunch you!

Hello Canucks! Are you roasted to bits yet? Feels like Florida this weekend yeah? I hope you all have a fun Canada day with plenty of family, friends and relaxation and yes Juice! You can do it. I'm going "strapped" into my family day. So much juice I could drown an elephant. They wont get me with their darned BBQ smells. Peace, love and joy!

I'm gonna experiment with freezing fresh fruit. I am limited on space as I have to share everything with my family. Wish I had a dedicated fridge just for my stuff but I guess I have to learn how to navigate in a world where I have to work within the majority. My family thinks all my juices taste "nasty" but its growing on me. Like organic ginger has a richer more "spicy" taste than the gigantic watery tasting ginger. I find the organic ginger has evened out the overpowering salty bite of celery. It was quite nice this evening. So I'm finding I'm able to distinguish flavours more and I can smell food a mile away. LOL. I have some avocado. I heard you can freeze it. I have to figure something out because they are ripe today and I know tomorrow they'll be dead.

@ Shay, I wish you had your own fridge too. Grapes are my favorite fruit to freeze. Delicious. I have never put avocados in the freezer though. Let me know how that turns out. Can you just eat the ripe ones? You are very adventurous and have a great positive attitude. You will do very well juicing.
