All of these posts look to be 4 months ago. Anyone still at it or anyone looking for a buddy?

Hope you all doing great, will pass by for a longer time some time soon, although I shall not even try to catch up on posts, impossible!

For now just sending you all a virtual hug and cheers with a green juice!

Been busy living out of the virtual realm, internet can become so time consuming in certain moments, but I never stopped juicing on the side and I did a third reboot, full juice again...Keeping up with my rhythm of short reboots and time to settle down than again and so on...will maybe do a last one before autumn really sets in, still not sure if I feel like it and if I can find the motivation again...

Again I hope you are all fine, take care!

HI Suzanne, Slowly does it. The tortoise & the hare!! I did a lot of sitting over the weekend, so back on the juice again. Trying to juice twice a day, until my next reboot, on Thursday. Found an really helpful recipe & hint site called "allaboutjuicing.com". Fabulous.

Hi Lizane, Are you leaving the group? I'm not sure I understand your message.

I've had a busy few days and just realized that I hadn't posted for a while. I'm doing pretty well adjusting to being off all animal products. My energy is good, my mood stabilizing and I'm not experiencing cravings for less healthy food. While I feel like I've still got a lot to learn, I'm feeling more relaxed about the process and am enjoying all the learning I'm doing. I can't report any weight loss as of yet as I'm trying to let my body adjust to the changes and also, my Wii, which is what I use to weigh myself is on the fritz. Anyway, hopefully I'll notice some more good results soon.

I am trying almond milk, as I don't like soy, and it tastes pretty good. I believe cows milk can cause inflammation

Hi, I'm sorry for not having come by yesterday. I was busy doing my '' to do list'' and had the chance to talk to Erialle (Carrie) over Skype. It was nice to hear her voice for the first time. We will meet next Friday. We are excited.

Today is my final day (day 5). I found my mini reboot hard to focus on because I was feeling tired and still do. Weird I would say since usually I feel way better on day 3 at each of my reboot. I think I will just keep on eating healthy and try to be more active for now on. I was planning to do mini reboot of 5 days with a week or so of healthy eating between. I don' t know if I will do it. I think it will depend on my energy level. For sure I don't give up the whole process. I did great so far and really would like to continue.

It was nice to have my buddies on board, it really helps me going through it. Now everybody is gone doing something else and I feel sad about it. I guess it's time for me to say goodbye and do it on my own. If you like this group, please keep on sharing and helping others...that's the reason why I started it in the first place. I wanted it to be a friendly place to be where no one is there to judge. Each person is unique and are allowed to adapt the plan the way it suits them the best. We are all human with our ups and downs. I'm the first saying that my weight problem is deeper than just the quality of what I eat. I'm an emotional eater and that is the real problem I have to work on. For some of you who would like to keep contact with me, look on facebook ( Lizane Courchesne) I will more than happy to add you in my friends. I wish you all the best of luck on your journey. It was a privilege to know you and read your posts. You are amazing people with great qualities! Thank you so much for what you did for me. I really hope to hear from you on facebook where I can post pictures, link and video! That's one thing I won't miss from this website...all the frustration for not being able to post anything I really wanted to. Sorry if I wasn't commenting each post, I was reading them for sure, but didn't have the time to comment on them sometimes. Like you I do have a life to attend to! Take care, aurevoir!

Taking a few moments out before I need to take off and do things to get ready for my trip--only a week now and between work and my 'vacation' there just aren't enough hours.

News from my new doctor which I was so excited to share with y'all. He is very pro doing things healthy and being natural and definitely a listener. Also, he was familiar with my leg problem plus my inner ear disorder. Gave him the letter I had gotten in the mail from that pill-pushing doctor earlier and he semi-rolled his eyes and said, "well, I suppose that means that you are doing okay then?" I told him about juicing and he was concerned about getting enough protein and watching my sugars but didn't get preachy. He is also a juicer and said that if I can get a new juicer that doesn't take out as much of the pulp like he has that would be better but trusts me in what I am doing that it is very healthy. For now, he doesn't want me on the diabetes medicine and we will redo blood work around the middle of November in 3 months and re-evaluate how my health is at the point. The only medicine I am on currently is for my thyroid yay!!!!! At that point, I will go through a more complete physical. Best news I could have hoped for.

Need to take off and do some more errands and cleaning on my day off. There is only one more day off I have next week before the trip and still a long list of things to complete.

    Take care and happy juicing!

PS....great job, Lizane at self control! Way to go! Flossie, you too. Sometimes we just need to not deny ourselves entirely but get back on track after having that tempting bite of something not quite so healthy.

Fabulous health news for you Erialle. So pleased you have found a Dr that is helpful, and congrats on your test results. Amazing he juices too!! He must know that the pulp is only fibre surely? Have a good trip next week.

Day 3, I'm doing ok. Yesterday night was a bit hard...my husband had a veggie pizza and the smell of cheese was calling me. I ate one bite to satisfied my craving but didn't eat anything else. I was happy about that because otherwise I would have end up eating a slice. I felt like I was still strong by just eating one bite. Today is a new day, and he won't have cheese today, that's for sure! Also I was very tired yesterday. I didn't have the energy to accomplish what I wanted to. I'm still tired today but It's because I didn't sleep well last night. I'll do what I can...may be the energy will be back after a few juices. Thanks for your support!

Great plan Lizane. I too have been eyeing up food I think I should not touch. Yesterday I had a half inch square of a cake and it truly satisfied my need. Smell is such a strong sense, can't remember the statistic I read here somewhere, but smell influences our desire to eat more than sight or hunger. Lack of energy is a cause for me to want to eat too much. I think my body wants the nutrients instantly, to try to boost my energy, and a juice would provide that, so I have to remember to have a spare one in the fridge. 2 days to go Lizane, you can do it!!

Yes you are right about the smell. It is an important sense that is part of my triggers. I guess if I can control it by having one bite, why not...until I get better and better at it. Yes 2 more days to go, not easy at all. Still not having the energy today. Tomorrow should be better. Thanks for your encouragement.

Back to eating, with juice for breakfast, as I just don't fancy anything else. I gorged out on fruit when I finished my 5 days, but my scales are looking ok. It will just take longer to get to my final number, than I had planned, and that's just me all over. lol

I have something to share. For the ones who are eating normally. I found something great. If you feel very hungry, 30 minutes before your meal, take a grapefruit, remove the pulp and put it in a blender with a bit of water or coconut water until it has a kind of smoothie's texture. Drink it. It's supposed to fill up your stomach with all the fiber and you won't end up eating that much of your meal. This is also great for when you have an event to attend to and you don't want to eat too much of the not so healthy food. I guess you can do the same thing with an orange or two. With my meds, I am not allowed to have grapefruits but I will try for sure with oranges.
