Hello Warriors! I've been back in the real world of eating and chewing for several months. Took a long trip through Arizona, Utah,Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, mostly fly fishing and hiking around Jackson and Yellowstone. Was able to keep my weight down by making good choices at restaurants and ferreting out juice bars in some of the towns we passed through. Hope everyone is staying true to their plan! Juice on!!

Robin lovely to hear from you

That sounds absolutely amazing , both the trip and the eating! It is incredible how much you have achieved. Do you feel like making the right food choices is natural now? Xx

Hi Tracy! So lovely to hear from you too! For the most part, it has become 2nd nature for me to make wise food choices. However, I just returned from 4 days in Las Vegas and I have to report, there were some poor choices made that I'm paying for now. I'm recommitting to juice-only beginning this Monday for 3 weeks.

Rhaya, what a delight to see your post! Yes, I'm continuing to get good results and getting closer to my goal. I'm now just 25 lbs. away, having lost a total of 89 lbs. since I began the 60-day reboot with you on February 12, 2016. Thanks for checking in!

    Tracy,

Are you still doing the 60-Day guided reboot? I hope you're doing well and getting results.

Robin...... how kind of you to ask...... I really appreciate it.

Well.... I am not the world's best rebooter it has to be said and I do struggle with the all juice part, but, and it might have taken me an inordinate amount of time... but progress is being made. I am concentrating hard on the peripheral aspects - improving sleep, more exercise, cutting out caffeine, reducing stress, as well as heading down the heavily plant based, no processed food route and I think I can finally say that my blood sugars are moving in the right direction.......... still way, way too high, but definitely coming down :-))) I am so glad I decided to do another reboot session.

How are you? How did you get on at your doctor's appointment? Are you still juicing or juicing and eating?

Hope all is well with you. xx

So good to hear from you Tracy! Glad you are doing well and your sugars are moving in right direction.

My doctor appt. went well......my numbers continue to improve and my weight is still dropping slowly. I decided to join a 30-day reboot to give me a kick in the pants to lose my final 40 lbs. I'm currently on Day 12 of that and doing well; there's something about being in a guided reboot that keeps one accountable.

I wish you continued success Tracy!

    Hi Tracy,

Checking in to see how things are going on your guided reboot.

Hey Robin - thank you for asking.

I am on my usual winding road. Trying to concentrate on a bit less work, a bit more sleep and exercise as well as the juice side of things. altho as I write this it is 3am and I am sitting working at my computer.... so I am not sure how much I am improving :-) If only I could not work and not have a social life I think I would be ok ha ha.

How are you doing? Are you still juicing? HOpe all is well with you.

Do you have any new art work ?

I am supposed to be starting a third diabetes medication - Lyxumia - but the diabetes nurse needs to clear it with the consultant because I don't weigh enough for it to be automatically prescribed...... I am kind of not chasing it up at the moment because apparently it can make you feel very nauseous for two or three weeks. If I can make a better go of this reboot, I may avoid having to take it.

Let me know how you get on at your doctors appointment in a couple of weeks - would be brilliant to come off medication.

Yes Rhaya is the coach again... I dont think you could ask for anyone better :-)

Robin you are doing so well. That is fantastic. Do you feel much more healthy?

Oh yes Tracy! I am off my blood pressure medicine, reduced diabetic medicine, I sleep better, never tired during the day, and my husband says I'm much kinder!!! I have a doctor appointment in 3 weeks and I'm really hoping he will either reduce my medication further or take me off completely. I am hoping you will stick with this and get your numbers under control. You will feel so much better and the health benefits are so worth it. Do you have Rhaya as a coach again? I miss having access to her and participating in the webinars. Stick with it Tracy! Be good to yourself!!

Robin & Co- just wanted you to know that I have signed up to do another reboot -.

My sugar levels from blood tests taken just before I posted on here again are absolutely terrible ( as a result of totally lapsing into old ways) and I have committed to doing another 60 days. It has to be done.

.How are you getting on. DO you have any updated stats?.

  • Robin

Tracy, sorry to hear about your sugar levels but VERY happy that you have signed up for another guided reboot. Something about having that coach available and weekly webinars can keep you accountable. I wish you the best and hope to see you posting on here to update us on your progress!!

I'm still plugging along. I'm currently down 68 lbs. from when we started the February 12th reboot.

Hi Robin, Tracy, Saja and other Warriors,

I've been away for two months with health issues. I quasi-restarted yesterday and will be more committed today.

Has anyone bought any cold pressed juices? I'm wondering what if anything I should look for or avoid?

    Have a good day everyone.

RONDA!!! I am sooooo excited to see you are back!!! I pray all went well with your health situation and you are ready to juice again!! I have bought some cold pressed juices when I've been traveling or in a pinch. The Evolution brand at Starbucks is ok, though not as good as freshly homemade. I've only tried the green one and it had a pretty strong ginger taste, but palatable. I look forward to reading your posts as you continue your journey of juicing and health.

How are things going for all you Warriors? Tracy, how did you do on your trip? Is work stress still trying to sabotage you? I encourage you to try and stick with your juices through it all. Putting all those good nutrients into your system will definitely help with the stress.

Saha? Clover? Are you still out there? How are things going?

    Hi Robin

Long drive up to the north east today. Seven hours in the car. Brought juices with me. We went out for a meal tonight and I had salad. Same drive back tomorrow... Not sure how to approach that.

I have crazy work deadlines at work this week.... Not sure how I am going to get through it all..... It's work pressure that always leads to me falling off the band wagon... When It gets like it will be this week I have very little capacity to think about anything else.... So this will be a test!

Thank you for checking in. How are you doing?

  • Robin

If you can't juice, at least make plant based choices, like you did when you went out yesterday. There are times when doing juice only just isn't an option, so eating a salad is a great choice. Hang in there Tracy, and try not to let the stress sabotage your efforts.....I know that's easier said than done sometimes!!! I'm doing ok......really trying to stick with the juice only for 30 days.
