I am on day 4 of the 15 day reboot and I finally feel good! The first three days were killer. I had crazy caffeine withdrawals. Today I feel happy and healthy. I hope it stays this way.

Hello, I'm on day 10, feeling great. I've done this before but day 10 was max. This time I might make it for longer. I've lost 9.5 pounds, that's wonderful.

As for the cold evenings, I take the veggie pulp from the day's juicing and make a veggie broth, add some tumeric maybe .... heats me up (I followed this suggestion in a comment of someone, forgot who).

This is a wonderful community, one can learn so much ... and it's always encouraging for me to look through the comments.

I am happy that there is a February group as I started at the beginning of this month too.

    Greetings to everybody and

    Juice On!

Great idea for the soup - I've been having a home-made veg soup too to warm up but I haven't used the pulp yet.

Hi everyone! Today is my Day 9. Yesterday was not really a good day. I felt very tired and cold, and just sick of juicing. I wanted food, especially warm, rich, and creamy pasta. So, instead of eating, I decided to warm up two cups of Nature's Promise organic vegetable broth and added spices and herbs. I felt much better after that. Here's to Day 9 and small victories!

    Hi everyone!

I started with planning on doing 5 days and reassessing at that point, and last night I prepped all my juice bags for another 5 days! I'm on day six and feel great! I lost about 5 pounds (wishy washy scale) so my baby weight is gone or almost gone? She's 8 weeks and 2 days old, so that's not too bad by me! My formerly flat stomach still resembles a very sad raisin, however - so we will keep juicing and working out to try and get another 10 - 20 pounds off to be lighter than before I became pregnant!

Thrilled with how well and full I feel, and everyone on this website makes this so much easier! Thanks for all the inspiration and commiseration ;)

One funny problem - I have too much energy? I have a hard time falling asleep after night feeds because I'm so alert! Which makes me more tired, but I can't fall asleep? A unique catch 22. It's a good problem to have for a chronically tired lady, so no complaints! Anyone else?

    Take care!

That's great Pamela - I can't believe you've lost your baby weight so quickly - took me 9 months both times. I have found that juicing gives me more energy although it sometimes takes a while to get there. I have been up with my kids for 7 out of the past 8 nights which would usually drive me to sugar/caffeine and anything else that's not good for you. On juices, I feel fine.

My 7 day reboot ended yesterday. This morning's weigh in showed the same as the last three days, so that will be that for this round. Although I'd rather end on a downward trend than a plateau, I'm really pleased with how it went. 8.4 lbs in 7 days. Thank you all for coming along on the ride.

Because I started this group, I'm committed to checking in periodically throughout the month to see how fabulous you are doing! There are may supportive people here, not just me, so I know the group will continue to be a supportive and nurturing space for all members.

    Juice on!

As Joe would say, GOOD ON YOU! :) I'm on day 29 and trying to decide whether to take a brief break or forge ahead. I think I'm going to do some clean, transition type eating later this week and go right back in. I've gone from 212 to 179 since Jan. 1 (was at 202 when officially began juicing only on 1/13). I've been hovering at 180 for days, and just dropped to 179 ... so now my initial intent to take a break is wavering. Seeing that downward trend is inspiring to continue ... we shall see what the next few days bring. Integrating more juice and a tad of protein powder definitely helped me over the hump. I look forward to seeing you on here as you are able to check in. Thank you for beginning this group -- it was just what I needed when I was hovering along a plateau. :)

Good for you Jan! This is an excellent result, even if you did plateau. Have a great trip!

NKUMeg - that's incredible! Well done you!

Great job, Jan! And thank you for starting this group. It is so nice to read about others' experiences with juicing. Many similarity and many differences. I made it 7 days with 5 pounds weight loss. Making it through the weekend was a big concern and I did it.

Great job! Why stop when you just got "over the hump?" That's how I ended up doing a 24 day reboot last fall - I had planned on 3 days, then extended to 5, then just kept going until a work trip made it impossible to continue. Keep going! Juice on!

First reboot, day two. I'm not sure how long I'll keep it up but I want to at least complete the week. Didn't follow any real transition as my usual diet doesn't really have any big undesirables. Let's see, I've only had small headaches so far. It's making me wonder if I am following this right.(Even though I'm following the 10 day juicing only plan to a T.) Is this the calm before the storm?

Oh, my tastes buds were not happy with the double dosage of ginger I accidentally put to my ginger pear-snip. Blegh.

traineescientist, good job on the first couple days! I just completed Day 1-no headaches either, however I did have some caffeine. (But not tomorrow!) I, too, added too much ginger and won't be making that mistake again either. Juice on!

Every one responds a little differently. A lot of people do get a headache, some don't. Listen to your body. If the headache comes - up the amount of water you drink.

Usually headaches are caused by caffeine and/or sugar withdrawal. They pass, but can be nasty at the time. Usually by day 4 they seem to be gone.

I had headaches on days 3 & 4 -- reboot nutrition tips suggested increase water & coconut water (when I increased the coconut water to twice per day, headaches disappeared).

  • kimmie

I can agree with you on the double dose of ginger.....

  • Rastagirl

I'm on day 8 and have had no headaches as of yet. I never drank caffeine though, even before I started my reboot so maybe that helped in my favor.

I am currently on day 5 of my reboot, and have lost 8.6 lbs so far!!! I want to do at least the 15 day reboot, see where I am, and then decide whether to go to 30/60 or not. My biggest struggle are the cravings. Yes, they tend to go away after I juice, but I would kill for a steak, or chocolate, or bacon...well, just about anything at this point. I have a family to cook for on a daily basis, so cravings get pretty bad. My 3 year old has been trying all the juices that I make, and asks for more all the time. He loves them! My inspiration for losing weight is to finally be at my goal weight of 145 when my husband gets home from deployment in April/May. So excited to have started the reboot!!!!!
