Hi everyone :) Today is day 2 and have a little headache. can't wait for the first couple of days to be over with.I'm not going to weigh myself for the first few weeks because I don't want to become obsessed over the weight. I need all the support I can get and would love to be a part of this group :)

Hang in there! I had a headache on day 2 as well, but it passes. On day 4, I'm feeling pretty good.

Hi Ayla - Welcome! Days 2 and 3 are notorious detoxing days for me. Drink lots of water and juice. I ditched my scale too. With a thyroid condition, it was just too painful...lol! Have a great day!

Hello! My name is Katie and I have done a successful 5 and 8 day reboot in February, but can't get past Day One right now. I juice several times a day and then have a meal, but I would like to go for a 14 day juice fast. I have Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism and put the scale away a long time ago because it's slow to move. I am doing this for my health and know the weight will come off as it is supposed to. I need juicing friends who are on the same page and starting about the same time. Won't you be my juicing buddy?

Hi Katie. I'm in Colorado too. I started 4 days ago. The first 2 days are the hardest, I think, trying to stay true to juicing, but it gets easier as the days go by. I drink lots of water, and if I get really hungry, I have another juice. Welcome to the group!

Hi Kerry, Day 3 is the hardest for me, but I've made it 8 days so I know I can make it more. There is a fun meetup in Denver on April 19th at 2 PM with Kitten the Juice Pirate. It's a fundraiser for VegFest Colorado and looks like it might be fun. You can find out more information here:

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am such an emotional eater and it's been very hard for me. I cave under stress. I am doing journaling, meditation, visualization and watchign movies on FMTV about health and wellness. Still, I cave.

I have trouble with exercise too. There are a lot of people who let their dogs run and it scares me to go for walks and take my kids and dogs, so I don't even bother. I have been pretty sedentary for a few years now and my body has really noticed, I started dancing in the evening for about a half hour, when I have some alone time. Today I walked in place for 10 minutes, trying to get some energy out. I am on day 3 of my juice fast and I find I have too much energy for my lifestyle. I wish I could do some yoga, but the last time I tried, I was simply too heavy to hold myself in any positions. My Wii Fit no longer works. I used to do that a lot. So now I just try to move for about a half hour each day. Even a little is better than nothing.

HI Kerry, I think half an hour each day amounts to a lot. Keep that dancing going. I am yet to get into exercise mode. But when I do, half an hour is what I will start with. I iwll up that only when my body feels a bit lighter.I wish to do yoga too, but have the same problem. Cannot hold any position. So when I lose weight I am definitely going to join yoga. That is my dream!

Hey Kerry, I use some walking workout videos by Leslie Sansone. It is literally just walking in place, and side steps, sometimes arm movements, etc. You may enjoy her videos, I love to do them in the morning because walking is simple and the videos and music make it more enjoyable. Either way, I hope you find some encouragement here, keep your head up, you're doing great! :)

Hi Linda....did you mean sugar is an addiction for you? Don't worry 90% population of the world is addicted to sugar. I suggest you watch this movie "Fed Up"....it's a documentary on sugar and it is mind blowing!

Hey Linda - Ik spreek Nederlands een beetje. Ik passeren enige tijd in Nederland vele jaren geleden (about 100 years ago :-P) en Ik wil om te oefenen.

My initials are LLL and I abbreviate them to L3 (should be a superscript 3). Ellcubed is 'math-speak' for L3.

I too have a sweet tooth (aka sugar addiction), so I think I will try to watch "Fed Up" along with others in the group. I found it free on Youtube.

I've been trying to do some of the exercises from 'You are your own gym' by Mark Lauren. They don't require any gym equipment but the exercises are pretty taxing. Like Ellcubed says, something is better than nothing (which I have been doing until now) but I'm not going to push the boat out too far and get ready for juicing first. Exercise can be the next hurdle after shifting some pounds.

Today I've had a kimchi rice breakfast (strange I know but not the weirdest breakfast here in China), a large mean green juice to see me through the day and a big bowl of vegan curry for dinner. I have to admit that I did have a packet of chips at a friends when we were watching a movie.

Compared to how I've been eating recently I'm happy that I'm edging towards the start of the plan for April 1st. I'm trying to get down to one helping of carbs a day and adding in extra juice until it's juice only!

I am so happy that I ran accross this post. I did a small juice fast (7 days) and lost 17 lbs in March. I wanted to go a full 30 days but fell off of the wagon. I wished then that I had some support and so I checked out Joe's site. Considering the fact that I came to know the powerful results gained with juice fasting by watching Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, it only made sense, huh. Anyways, I am super psyched about getting started again on April 1st!
