The moon was very lovely last night it was windy and so it had a yellowish color from the dust in the air.

Good morning juicing buddies! I had a busy day with trying to get in walking and consulting with the landscaper throughout the day. They were here until 5 pm. And getting all of the electrical worked on as well. The day just flew by and we went grocery shopping after the electrician came by. He was supposed to be here between 9 and 11 and called to say he was going to be late and so I went for a 45 min walk instead of the long ones I usually do earlier in the day. It was 91 degrees at that time. I plan to walk then prune one plant before the landscapers get here then I will be making juice I bought pineapple so I am making Hawaiian apple because I have a ton of apples to use up. Juice on!

Good Morning, Juicers! I'm not counting days right now, but maybe will starting this weekend.

I'm drinking yesterday's green juice. This morning my time in the kitchen will be spent topping carrots and binning them up instead of juicing. I have a theory they last better in the fridge after removing the bit of foliage and dirt left. ( Well, it's always that part that starts going black first. ) Ok, done. About 25 minutes. Is it worth it? Sure easier to pull out and juice...

Today, I have enough juice to be going on even though I've been sharing with family. Delicious!

To my green juice, I added a bit of blackberry/chia cold-processed I bought in a bottle. Berries have been pricey this week and this is a way to get a bit in, when I found this at the store yesterday.

Meanwhile, I got approval to use the gym equipment yesterday. This will be new to me. I was already going to yoga at the same location twice/week and now I plan to try out the gym in the hour before yoga. Hope to burn some fat and improve some muscles. I need a lot of work!

Hello Juicers ! Day 3 !!! I am feeling ok and have been at work. I carried like 1L to work for the past two days. I can't wait for tomorrow to come and I can actually juice as I drink. I am loving juicing :)

Last night I thought about food a lot. Like steak, ice cream, pizzas... managed to keep my fast. Hopefully I can do it longer.

Juice ON :) Such a beautiful day !

    Juice ON!!

Morning, Juicers. :) I had a social occasion last night, lovely to see friends, but not a good thing though I didn't eat anything egregious. Sigh. I tell you, some of those conventional salads are absolutely NADA in nutrition. I'm also not used to eating at night. Luckily I'd done the good thing and taken care of myself at home. My green juice yesterday was particularly good in that batch. I still have a bit and it's very yummy.

I juiced this morning. First, a 5 pound bin of org. carrots. Big ones. Will buy another 25lbs today, and I have a coupon for $5 off $30 at a new Publix grocery store.

Then, juiced a whole bunch of 3 large rainbow beets with greens. Because I don't like to drink the carrots juice all by itself -- I Like to cut it with greens at least, and sometimes other stuff. Bottled them separately, will mix as I drink, I decided. I wanted to try some other recipes.

Feel great to have that juice waiting in the fridge, bottled! I was going to take a photo but I'm needing to mosey on.

Today, I am going to get the go-ahead from a nurse at a community center I've started taking yoga at, just a few weeks ago. Also tried out another of their sessions, balance/agility type exercises. But those are only 2/week. If the nurse passes me, I can use their gym, and they have a trainer and I think a nutritionist? On my own, I am not real efficient at any type of exercise, but I just have to get stretching and moving or I'll seize up like a rusty whatever. Plus not losing weight. So I'm keeping an open mind. (Despite nutritionists trying to convert me from Vegan in the past, sigh. You know, they believe a lot of things about food that I no longer believe. Sigh.)

Those beets/greens sure were dark green! Did you know the white beet that is in that is really all white, and the red one is not a "red beet" but really red outside and striated red and white inside. The gold I've had before - yellowish green inside.

    Cheers!

Quote: "bunny brand carrots? yep, a quote out of thin air!! from vegan to what?"

@Zeke, you know, I think these might be Bunny brand carrots? Let me go see -- I have 25lbs to top next action here. Wait -- no, I looked. They're actually packaged as Publix's "Greenwise" store brand, so that's changed. They were bunny carrots for the longest. Topping them and binning them up will take the time I have this morning, so I'm glad to have juice left in the fridge.

    Also @Zeke...

"From vegan to..." -- I was referring to more than one nutritionist in the past trying to convert us from vegan back to what THEY see as a healthy diet -- meats and dairy. You know most of them still use the 1960's food pyramid. I remember one nutritionist said to my son, maybe he was 12yo at the time, and I was sitting right there, "Don't you think your mom would let you eat just a little cheese several times/week so you'd get some calcium and protein?" Just one example. I promise I've had more thru the years. Don't get me started on a rant! lol Many of them can NOT handle the vegan or even vegetarian diet, and they have definitely not read the books and references you and I have read.

The red striped beet is a chioggia beet. Take that collagen supplement Zeke you want to heal quickly and the collagen will help support the new joint by keeping your tendons healthy.
