Happy Friday! <3 I'm getting a massage this weekend to assist with the detoxing! Anyone else have treats planned?

No treats planned Kristen1 maybe a hike in the desert today. Tips for Kale--Don't buy the kale in the bag get the whole leaf Kale most of juice comes from the stem when you get home wash it right away cut the base of the stem and place the stem ends into a glass of water. It gets dehydrated in the refrigerators in the store even if they spray it periodically as the stem has sealed.

    Good Morning Buddies!

It’s a lovely feeling to wake up without an alarm clock and leisurely juice up some parsley, beet greens, beets, cabbage, celery, lemon, ginger…

    But who has the time?!

Especially when you’ve been too busy to run to the grocery store and you have to be at work in half an hour.

That’s where 2-ingredient juice recipes come in. I love these babies.

Most of them take like all of 5 minutes to make and they’re perfect for a variety of occasions - Green Grapefruit juice when you want a quick and simple fat burner, Cleansing Carrot and Burdock juice when you need to detox, Can’t Beet This Kale Juice when you want to make sure you’re workout is rockin’.

And there are so many more delicious combinations with ulcer-soothing, eye-health-boosting, digestion-improving, and reinvigorating powers - you’ll want to check them out (and save them for those mornings when you’re short of time and nutrition).

Green Grapefruit- 1 large grapefruit, 1 large bunch of Romaine Lettuce is super low cal, and grapefruit increases metabolism and fat burn.

Cleansing carrot and burdock root- 2 large carrots and 6 inches of burdock root. this is high in vitamin A, and detoxification of burdock root.

Zesty Watermelon Juice- 1 1/2 cups watermelon, rinds too, 1 whole lemon peeled. another good for detox rich in lycopene, and Vitamin C.

Kale pre-workout juice- 2 cups kale, 2 small beets

Spicy sweet potato juice- 2 large sweet potatoes, 1 knob of ginger this sweet, spicy juice is great for the skin, boosts immunity, and satisfies sweet cravings

Pineapple Coconut juice- 1 cup pineapple, 1 cup coconut water This is a great way to get your electrolytes.

Fennel and Apple juice- 1/2 fennel bulb leaves and all, 1 apple This juice soothes the stomach and aids digestion

Sweet Purple Cabbage Juice- 1/4 of a purple cabbage, 1 cup pineapple this is a good one for anyone with stomach and intestinal problems. the prebiotics in the cabbage improve gut health, and aid in digestion

Pear and broccoli juice- 1 stalk of broccoli, stem and top, 2 pear. Sweet, green and high in protein, pear is a natural diuretic and laxative

Corn and broccoli protein juice- 2 boiled ears of corn, cooled, 1 stalk of broccoli stem and top. Corn and broccoli are high in plant protein.

I never thought about juicing corn or brocolli - great ideas! I've been juicing kale and other greens, but getting almost nothing out of them. Any tips??

Ever made a terrible tasting juice? Try these tips for improving the flavor, so that you are not watching that juice go down the drain! Try adding the following:

Apples, carrots pineapple, and watermelon will add plenty of water to dilute any bad juice recipe as well as a load of sweetness to take the edge off the bad taste.

Cucumbers, kohlrabi and watermelon rinds have virtually no taste and provide a lot of dilution.

Lemons and ginger…are strong taste overtakers. Just a little bit can go a long way to disguising subpar flavor - "little bit" being the operative words here.

Leslie, thank you so much. The 2-ingredient recipes are a great idea -- I needed to read that. And "taste overtakers" also, very helpful!

Hi everyone!! I'm on day 1 of my reboot and my husband is already on day 13. It's not our first time rebooting but it has been about 4 years since the last one. I already have Joe's favorite green in the fridge and some carrot juice. Bought tons of organic frozen berries, fresh kale and spinach among other things. So, let's do this!!

Welcome Kristen1. Congratulations on reaching day 3, which many say is the hardest day. Hang in there and promise yourself to make it through the day, and tomorrow you will feel strong and energized. You can make it to day 15 for sure!

Thanks Leslie! :) Glad to be on Day 4! Energy is strong, and excited for all my newfound acne to clear up starting this weekend, haha. I'm hoping for 15 days, but not sure if my body will let me go that long as I only have about 10 pounds to lose. I would love to go as long as possible though! I'm thrilled to be nourishing my body.

Good morning buddies! We are in the desert we arrived yesterday, and it was 84 degrees at 5 pm! My SIL left the place a mess. It is so frustrating because we always pay to have it cleaned when we leave and she should be doing the same. She also did not put the patio furniture away, and the pool was sandblasted yesterday and so everything is covered with grit! More work for us. The new landscaping is in progress, no one has shown up to do any work today, rain is in the forecast for today.

I have 8 servings of juice in the fridge ready to go. Today we are going grocery shopping I had lots of apples, carrots, spinach, celery, oranges, grapefruit, and oranges that I brought with us. I should have picked some kale to bring the cool weather at home has it growing really well. I am sad to say that it is the 2nd year for this kale so it will have to be pulled up if it starts to bolt this year and I will have to wait until late summer to put in a new crop. I guess I will keep cutting it back and see if I can get it to make it through July. I have red kale that is so tall with all of the bottom leaves removed that looks like little red palm trees. They are about 3 1/2 feet tall and don't produce much juice so I will pull them when I get home, amend the soil in that box and plant something different.
