It is now day 42 and I have only three days to go- down 25lbs, but more important I feel better and I want to embrace a plant base lifetstyle. I feel so much more peaceful and it's awesome to watch my husband and kids embrace my changes- my kids actually request juices. Surprisingly Thanksgiving was not hard, my kids were so used to me juicing they did not see anything unusual. I coupled the fast with a bible study so I can truly be in balance

    Hello All,

I am on day ONE.... and just wondered if anyone from the previous posts have any updates, This is the first time that my husband and I have done a Reboot. We are doing on for 8 days and then with a day break going into a 30 day. We have kiddos and really don't want to skip Thanksgiving. However, my husband said if he's doing really good he may skip. The first day is crazy for me. I am the type of person that I can go all day and not feel hungry or eat anything. But when I decided to do this.... all I can do is think about food.... all day today. lol ugh I just want to go to bed and wake up so I can say I made it through the day. Any one else feel this way?

    Hi,

First few days for me was awful-I felt terrible. I had to embrace the process of using the fast to adopt a healthier lifestyle for me and my kids- that inspired me to stick it out.

I am on day 13. It does get easier. Today has been much easier. Aiming for 30 or 40. Depending on how much I lose by day 30. I want to lose 40/45lbs of baby weight. I have already lost 15.

I am juicing for 45 days. I am in day 2. My last day will be Dec 7. I choose 45 because I knew I needed to get past Thanksgiving. This is my second reboot- my first was three years ago and also juice only- except I juiced for 60 days- so this one is shorter for me. I kept all of the weight off until about 6 months ago- I had two car accidents within 6 months of each other and a lot of stress. I quickly defaulted into bad eating habits and gained about 20lbs. So glad to find this group

    Hi friends,

I wanted to thank all of you that supported me on my journey & also encourage all the beginners. I finished my juice fast a week ago. I did 38 days & it was one of the best things I have done for myself. I started with a 10 day commitment & kept re-evaluating my progress & continuing on.

It was easy, & yet it was a big challenge. I encourage any beginners to expect that there will be good days & rough days. We all have external challenges that we have to find ways to deal with. I have 2 small boys that are constantly hungry, so I was in the kitchen a lot cooking & preparing meals. Dinner time was a drag & I felt like I was missing out on that, even though I sat at the table & drank my juice or chicken broth. I didn't really feel 'hungry' very often, though when it hit I would drink quite a bit of juice.

My juices were mostly oranges/carrot/ginger in the morning and then a fermented salsa (jicama, spinach, cilantro, fermented salsa, red bells, jalapeno, etc) or another fermented italian marinara tasting drink. I juiced a whole bunch of cilantro most days for detoxing purposes & used lots of ferments to keep my gut bacteria in good health. I also took chlorella or activated charcoal to assist in detoxing, food grad diatomaceous earth to assist in parasite cleansing, & my basic vitamins & minerals. My protein was grass-fed gelatin added to home made chicken stock. I drank home made kombucha & water kefir throughout the day for the added probiotics & flavor & often added apple/pinapple juice or lemon/ginger to them. I went for a 1 mile walk most mornings & did basic yoga stretching in the evenings. I continued to have bowel movements, so didn't feel the need to to enemas (crazy that I was still cleaning out).

I lost 23 lbs overall. This is huge for me. I've been dieting since I gave birth to my first son 7 years ago with very limited success. I did Atkins, low cal, very low carb, Paleo, ketogenic (testing my blood), 5:2, intermittent fasting... I always lost about 5 lbs over 2 months & then plateaued, then eventually gave up & gained it all back w/i a month or two.. My normal eating generally consisted of low carb organic Paleo, with lapses on sugary snacks. Thanks to juice fasting, I've lost all the weight I wanted. I'm now in my pre-pregnancy clothes that I haven't fit in in 7 years. My BMI is now a healthy 21.2. I can't tell you how great I feel in my body with all the weight lost. It's amazing what 20 lbs will do to a 5'5" body. I can hinge more freely & my yoga practice has improved tremendously.

Other benefits I gained was a loss of inflammation throughout my body. My physical therapy (structural integration, similar to rolfing) has been moving forward so much quicker (been recovering from major injury for 7 years). My sinuses have calmed down. My eyes are amazingly clear & sparkly. They look as white as my children's eyes. My tongue is pink. A huge improvement is with my thyroid- I was able to decrease my meds by 25% (got on meds 2 years ago after my 2nd son was born). I'm looking forward to my sonogram of my thyroid to see if my tumors have diminished, will post in a month if there is any exciting news.

Since I broke my fast, I've been on the GAPS introduction diet with my children to further any gut healing. I lost another pound this week, so I feel that my weight is stabilizing here. Lots of pureed veggie soups in home made bone stock and ferments. In all, I feel great. I feel like I've been given a new lease on life.

I just want to encourage all the newbies out here to stick with it. The first 1-4 days are really rough, physically & emotionally. After that it gets pretty easy, with good & bad days here & there. It becomes mostly mental. I just kept reminding myself that this is such a short time to achieve the goals I'd been working at for 7 whole years for. 1 month is nothing in the long run. And now that I'm on the other side, I only have to maintain, I'm finally off the dieting lifestyle. You are all so worth it. Whatever your motivations were for choosing to begin this journey, just remember them. You will thank yourself in the end!

    Hi team

I started my reboot yesterday. Was anxious and kind of tired. I'm looking to lose 30 lbs and started with a 10 day reboot. If I love it I'll plan to continue for a month. I'm happy that I have a group to share my feelings..

Hi guys! Day 1 today for me but I started the day with a soy milk and berry smoothie just to ease myself into this. I'm really looking forward to juicing and getting some results. I was doing so well with diet and exercise but then fell off a couple of weeks ago because of a failed relationship. Anyway I'm hoping this will give me a new challenge and take my mind off of the bad feelings and also lose post-breakup weight at the same time. My goal is to juice for at least 4 weeks or at least until I lose 20 lbs. I've juiced in the past and have always been amazed by how quickly the weight comes off so I know it's doable if I stick to it. I'm glad to have found this group and look forward to scrolling through and reading your posts which I'm sure will be very motivational!! Good luck to everyone!!

Hello, I'm brand new as well and I'm on day 2. I'm looking at undertaking a 30 day reboot. That seems so far away at the moment.
