DanM, thanks for the reminder of what to eat!!! Big Furman fan here too. I've been trying to get the Eat To Live Cookbook and may have to just get it off the internet. Ordered a pile of other vegan cookbooks since love cooking and variety. Sometimes simple is best though. Will check out the links. Thanks.

For me I fall off when I hit big stressors. The "bad food" doesn't even taste very good. But I can only fail if I quit and that is NOT happeneing. Love that you have maintained your weight for so long. Thanks for the inspiration.

Did another 5 miles today plus some weight training. It's a first ever for me. I just realized that the excercise induced asthma must be gone! YES!!!!! Also back on task with the food and juicing. It's another good day.

I love "EAT TO LIVE" by Dr. Fuhrman - he is the monitoring doctor in Joe's movie and wrote the forward in the new Reboot Juice Diet book. GBOMBS - were so helpful for me to transition before/during and after a reboot. What is a GBOMB? -----Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries, Seeds --- everyday to maintain and sustain weight loss and recovering health. No need to redo hard-won reboot efforts. Its not cheating if you eat plants. :D

Fell off the wagon again last night BUT today is good and I got back in the gym. Set a personal record of 5 miles and some weights. You have to be tough to keep on a fast /diet. I am never giving up even though there are some setbacks. It's the only way this weight is coming off.

    How is everyone else doing?

I really like having a piece of whole fruit or a handful of raw nuts for a 'fast food' snack -- LOL, it is about as quick and snacky as you can get. I definitely drink a lot more veggie juice when I am exercising. I couldn't eat those "fall off the wagon items" and maintain any weight loss, plus my cravings for crappy foods started to come back when I starting to eat chicken, eggs, and dairy or cave to the pressures of past food addictions. Have you seen the link for foods to eat when transitioning before/after or during a reboot? ...there are a lot of ideas that don't restrict the quantity of foods, just the quality of foods. It's not cheating if you eat plants. Experience the freedom of guilt-free eating, no counting calories, no drowning in minutiae, no restrictive diet.

Did you know that Joe has a great modified reboot plan? I did this 10-day plan and it morphed into 565 days! I was able to maintain and sustain 150lb weight loss on this modified reboot plan.

Fell off the wagon badly due to family issues but I watched the movie at superjuice.com and it got me motivated enough to make some Joe's Mean Green and get back on the wagon re food. Hopefully I'll get back to the gym tomorrow.

Got a bunch more vegan cookbooks coming from Amazon too so that should help with motivation. Made a curried veg stir fry last night and hubby really liked it too.

Hi everyone. I am still juicing but I decided to join this group so I can start learning about modified juicing for when I am off the Reboot.

Had a bad week here due to stress re my (step) daughter who has schizophrenia and manic depressive disorder. She got to a point where she finally has all the supports in place that she needs to function including SSI and has decided to leave and return to her old stomping grounds where drugs and connections abound. As a result, I stopped exercising and got off track with eating. Gained 1 1/2 lbs this week.

So....giving myself the rest of the weekend to grieve and just veg. Got some new vegan cookbooks to inspire me for some recipes and will be back exercising on Monday. Compared to what a lot of people go through...I'm lucky. Got a strong faith, wonderful support in my hubby and am retired. Many blessings to be thankful for.

Hope everyone else is doing fine and sticking to it! Green gulps, slurps!

Hi everyone! My name is Chloe and I live in Florida. I just added myself to the group. I did a 45 day juice only reboot in February and lost 20lbs. I was so thin and happy!!! Then I came off it and ate clean for a couple of weeks and then just binged :( I just now got myself back on track. I am on Day 2 of my modified juce reboot. I'm hoping to 1) stay on track and 2) get back to where I was, and then lose some more. My plan is two 32oz juices a day, and for dinner I will alternate every other day between a big plate of boiled potatoes (plain) and a green smoothie. I will always make a big batch of homemade soup every weekend to have on hand if I am about to cheat. Something about hot soup eliminates those cravings! So thats my plan. Hope everybody is doing well with theirs, goodluck!

well done Chloe ..it is not easy keeping it down ...but if you lose enough and then pretty normal for a week and then do a 5 day with plenty of exercise you will get them pounds down quicker and then a little eating chicken and veg ect and then do another 5 day and over time you will get to where you want to be at !!! I lost 2 lbs this week and am so happy. I am having to look at the scale daily to figure out what will work for me re amount of food and excercise but I just analyse vs getting upset about the number. Feels good to have that control. I splurged and bought a real pair of workout pants. Found a pair of sneakers which actually fir these 10 1/2 AA feet which happens every 10 years or so! I'll let you guys know when you can call me "Ms Hardbody! but it won't be anytime soon!!! I'm definitely getting fitter though..gaining endurance.

Wanted to wish everyone a blessed Easter and continued success on their plan.

j'shady, the first couple of weeks are the hardest as your knees will hurt with the excess pounds coming down hard on em' but as you begin to lose some pounds then the weight will be less on your knees plus you will become fitter and able to walk further and indeed think much Clearer and feel better too...also when ending your walk for the day ..if your feel good in your self ..then go a little further and this will make you feel much better within yourself and feel like you are really getting some where ...juice on , Ray

OK Today I'm starting my three-day modified juice cleanse with a juice in the morning and evening and a warm salad for lunch. So far so good. :) I'm having a watermelon, kale, cuke, carrot, ginger and celery juice this morning with just a bit of warm H2O to help my cold bones (but warm heart).
